    @_vibelikekay I must say I am struck by the depth of your insights about the site and the forums, given you have been a member less than a month.

    Maybe we are just coming from very different worlds & perspectives. You will get used to that here. I didn’t like the wording of a phrase and that’s ok also. Because I don’t see Cuddling as work, even as a Pro. I’m definitely not anyone’s employee!

    @WriterGF hey now… belief systems are on trial, not me 😅

    @g_w_t_w If you’re a professional cuddler via this website, one could say you’re technically an independent contractor of Cuddle Comfort and therefore working for them as an employee of sorts.
    I’ve seen it as an entry on people’s LinkedIn before haha

    I’m no longer a Pro here. I’m 8000 miles away. I’m completely independent, I have a very different life than you. You might understand my pov in about 50 years.
    Even when I was a Pro. I was completely independent. I think you’re still too new but eventually you will learn.

  • @_vibelikekay Like WriterGF I am struck by your insight. But only for this site and the forum but about life and things in general. You may be the wisest 25 year old I've ever encountered.

  • Yes, very interesting….im catching a vibe.

  • Just as suspected. Waiting to be banned.

    @calineur

    In my opinion, both cuddling for $ as well as cuddling without the physical connection are both unnatural, going against one's natural instincts. The resulting consequences of going against nature are to be expected. It's the exception rather than the rule to be one who restrains himself and/or is completely satisfied on a forever basis with only cuddling. (For the record, I do agree that those on CC seeking other than platonic cuddling not be on this site).

    I would agree. Sexuality is progressive by nature. We are sexual beings by nature. It takes discipline and self control / surrender to not surrender to the natural impulses. Even in a committed relationship where such progression is normal and healthy, it must be disciplined.

    I think this is why it can be such a challenge to establish and enforce rules and guidelines.

    Not really seeing men bashing? That comment screams "not all men!" Which is so irritating to me.

    Serious question, if someone said:
    “Jewish people are ______” or
    “Asian people are _______” or
    “People with dyed hair are _______” or
    “Penn State graduates are _______.”

    Would the assumption be the person making that statement meant:
    1) ALL members of that group or
    2) just SOME members of that group?

    Such comments are ALWAYS understood to mean “ALL” because general statements about any group of people are assumed to mean ALL unless some additional qualifier is added to the statement to narrow the statement to a subset of the group.

    Attributing some characteristic, intent, or action to an entire group of people based on sex, race, religion, hair color, sexual orientation, etc. is the very definition of “prejudice.” Literally “pre-judging” an individual based on them being a member of some identifiable group. So, I completely understand why a member of any group may feel personally pre-judged / attacked when the group they are a part of is disparaged.

    Well, at least I was right about one thing yesterday.

    @JohnR1972 And the funny thing is so much could be avoided by just using the word "some." There's a vast difference, for example, between "Men on CC violate boundaries" and "Some men on CC violate boundaries."

  • @WriterGF
    100% agree. That 1 word qualifier would eliminate a lot of misunderstandings, defensiveness, and arguments.

  • I recently asked a question of a pro who isn’t new but only has about a year’s experience. I asked her out of all her bookings how many tried to make it non-platonic. 80%? 40%? Her answer was startling—she told me that she knew the answer. She said it was 100%. 😦

    So I asked her how she dealt with that. She said she tried putting “I am strictly platonic” and it worked but she was not getting any bookings so she took it out. This told her these guys know what the term platonic means and the nature of this site. Then she started getting bookings again. So now she tells them she will walk out of a session if they break her rules and do not keep it platonic. Now her cancellations have risen.

    I am not saying anything other than this was eye-opening as to how prevalent boundary breaking is.

    @TheFunCartel Holy scheiss!

  • I don't blame women for leaving the site. Not at all. The first pro I met in 2017 that I still see on a monthly basis left the site due to non-platonic behavior.

    Guys, do better.
