What is the deal with 1111?

Checking the time before going to bed last night it was 11:11 . I looked at my phone a few minutes ago and it was 11:11 . Coincidence? Maybe, but this has happened to me many times over the last few years. Having nothing to do with my life :) I googled it (try it). There are several possible explanations described which I found intriguing especially the reference to angel 1111. Has anyone experienced this and do you believe it has merit?
