Cruising and Cuddles

  • From this headline I thought it was a reference to the Blue Oyster Bar haha 😂

  • @Nature_Lover_
Talk to your accountant or tax pro about self-employment taxes in states where you work.
For example, if you live in Tennessee, but cuddle for money in Michigan, you have to pay income tax to the state of Michigan on the money you make here.

  • I think part of the confusion is in the distinction between a meet up and a cuddle party. I've been to a couple of the meetups orchestrated by people on the site and even though it Is meant to bridge the interwebs world with the real world for folks on here it's not a cuddle party or cuddle meetup. Sure some folks met up and cuddled in their own time and spaces, and yes there were some pros who did have some clients at some point or another, but there were no expectations at all of cuddling anybody and I didn't see any pros standing with a sign trying to drum up business like a taxi driver at an airport or anything at a noticeable level. I think that the whole idea of doing a cuddle cruise should be approached in the same manner. No expectations of anything other than meeting and having fun.

This thread is CC in a nutshell.

    There’s some thread derailment, and
a complaint about pro cuddle rates.

An armchair pundit offering seemingly cogent and/or largely baseless advice.

An unnecessary disagreement about which of the two the above is.

Someone making everyone nervous for no reason just by putting scare quotes around the word “cuddling”.

Cringe-level lack of self awareness displayed, (all of us riding giant floating toilets to the “last clean places on earth”).

Speaking of which, there’s Mr. Vines alternately dropping knowledge and describing his process of elimination.

We have the Sassy Fox crowd bringing the unabashed positivity that suggests cuddles from Kansas or maybe somewhere over the darn rainbow.

Unsung heroes repeatedly responding to the OP, putting us back on the rails.

This monkey thinking he’s smart using 1000 words without making his point.

(Oh, my point! A cruise would be fun.)

All of this stemming from a sweet OP with a sweet dream: of a world, in which just about any good thing could be made even better if we added some cuddles to it.

  • That would be amazing!!!

  • I hope the people who want to do this make it happen, but I have never been a fan of cruises. I find them too controlled, too scheduled, and I have never appreciated the beauty of being confined to a glorified floating metal can in the middle of a large body of water. But I know there are people that love cruises—my dad was addicted to them.

I guess I just love easily accessible highways and roads if the people I am with annoy me.

Just returning from my cruise today-
I read all the comments and definitely wanted to clarify what I meant-
A Meet & Greet on a cruise to me means no booking sessions. Just a fun little opportunity for everyone to meet as a community and bond over a similar experience. I know my profile is listed as “Pro” but I don’t know if I would want to book sessions on a cruise. There’s so much to do on the ship and at the ports! Plus, there’s a nightclub to dance at all night so I don’t know if anyone would have the energy without falling asleep to cuddle lol.

Thank you to everyone who responded-sometimes I forget to check back so if it’s been a few days, remind me! 😂

That would be an interesting idea to have an on-site professional cuddling service on a cruise ship. Talk about a captive audience!

  • I would be interested to see if the over all trends changed on the ship, if it were not just a meet and great. Like...

Would female enthusiasts sign up for the cruise in much lower numbers than male?

Would male enthusiasts have a hard time finding female enthusiasts to cuddle with? Or would feeling each other out in person change that?

Would pros choose to cuddle for free? Or vice versa?

Would prices for pros change at all, up or down?

Would the forum wars start up in person, or would people talk differently to each other in person?

Would there be a lot of cheese on board?

Would people wind up cuddling with types of people they wouldn't have considered cuddling with before?

Would we come together, or move apart?

How many people would get locked up for going beyond platonic rules (both sides consenting)?

    Would people be less careful?

  • Cruises don’t have to be ocean going. There are MANY places that offer 2-4 hour cruises on rivers and lakes within the U.S.

I have done 2 dinner cruises (Ohio River starting in Cincinnati and Tennessee River starting in Chattanooga).

  • Today I literally did a cruise and cuddle. My first ever cuddle on a pontoon boat anchored in a secluded cove. Great cuddle partner and great setting!

  • Sorry nothing nostalgic about being on a boat for days surrounded by water looking at the same people. Plus reading horror stories of things happening on cruises.

  • Well I was googling “Cuddle Cruise” today and this thread popped up! I’m here to add my daydreaming about cuddles and cruises to the list! And lo and behold I look a few comments up and there is @JohnR1972 waxing poetic about our pontoon boat cuddle…so excited that it is almost time for

    ☀️☀️☀️LAKE CUDDLES🚤🚤🚤

but there is something super fun to me about a big cruise ship with entertainment and so much good food and as @VaniRae31 mentioned I would love to combine two of my favorite things -Cruising and Cuddling! Maybe I will set my sights to planning that next with a few of you other cruise aficionados 🤗🤗🤗

  • I’d love to do this, especially since I’ve never been on a Disney Cruise and I’d love to go on the Magic and Fantasy especially. How much would a pro typically charge given that their ticket and everything is paid for by the client?

I’ve cuddled on a tall ship (an 1800s fishing schooner) out on the ocean. The berths made for pretty close quarters. But the way the waves rocked us reminded me of what a baby must feel like in mother’s arms. Rarely, have I slept so well on land.

And… did you know you can still book transoceanic passage on cargo ships? Most people think a cruise without the whistles and bells would be boring. But a trip like that with a cuddle pal (or three) might be my ideal vacation.

  • I’ve never been on a cruise, but I can’t think of a better group of people to cruise with, no expectations for cuddling but just having a great time together. How did I miss this thread? 😊

  • Just went on a girls Cruise last month. They know I love my cuddles, and were joking about me finding a way to let them know I was in there cuddling with someone lol. Even though it never happened. Thought about posting on here but never did then I come on here and see this at the top.

  • @MonkeyNeedsAHug what in the world???

I need more details please! 🩵💛💚❤️💙💜🧡🩷💗💕 This sounds terribly interesting. 😊

And… did you know you can still book transoceanic passage on cargo ships?

    @sillysassy
Many ships were built with more crew cabins than are now needed to operate them. This is due to automation. But it’s supposedly good for morale for crew to meet new people. So, they allow normies to book passage. Basically, just sail across the ocean. Eat with the crew. Cuddle in your cabin (or on deck somewhere).

For liability purposes, I don’t think kids are allowed.

  • I put a poll up a couple years ago and was going to host one myself .. didn't have enough people interested. The cruise ship was going to give us a lounge for private party meet n greet and a small conference room for a cuddle puddle. I was looking at a 3 & 4 night cruises.
I still have my connect if enough people are interested. We would need to sell at least 16 cabins to have the private spaces to use.

  • I would be willing to go on a cruise but really can't afford it yet. But I'm a great partner for someone who wants to share a cabin ;) I've never been on a cruise I've always wanted to go.

  • I'm interested & have a partner that's also interested. We are on a budget so it will all depend on pricing. 🛳 🙋🏻‍♀️

  • I'm all for it. The thing is which cruise line is most likely to allow such a thing? Based on my research, if this cruise were to last at least three days but no more than five, and costs under a grand, then these are my picks, but then again that's one person's opinion.

    SPOT ON:

    Virgin Voyages (Adults-Only)

    IT'S A POSSIBILITY:

    Norwegian Cruise Line
    Royal Caribbean International
    Celebrity Cruises

    MEH:

    MSC Cruises
    Princess Cruises
    Holland America Line

    NOPE:
    Disney Cruise Line
    Carnival Cruise Line

    Thoughts?

  • I like your list and mostly agree! I lean towards Norwegian for the cuddle community because they have a dedicated singles area and may be more affordable but I’ve been dreaming of trying a Virgin cruise for a while now!
