What unusual (weird) fear do you have?

  • Believe it or not ... calling people (on the phone).

Oh I feel you. When I was young, I used to write down what to say before I called someone. And I don't mean bullet points. I mean full sentences and paragraphs. Problem was, the other person didn't always follow my predicted script. ๐Ÿ˜†

  • @SunsetSnuggles I know, right? It's like they aren't even trying to read the script!

It's funny ... if I am needing to call someone I don't know (stores included) it can take up to an hour to psych myself up to actually dialing. A friend/family usually half the time.

But aww, I'm so sorry you still experience that. I hope somehow it can get better for you, with time. So many things used to cause me anxiety...some not anymore, many still do. When I went to my first group cuddle, I was so anxious I felt like throwing up, and was shaking. It was like that for awhile, despite absolutely loving each and every one. Anxiety has a mind of its own.

Cuddling has given me a perfect opportunity to work on my social anxiety.

  • Me or someone close to me being abducted, tortured, or murdered. I also have a huge fear of roaches.

  • @SunsetSnuggles thats a great story, and even funnier the additions at the end

  • Large Rats, Rabid Racoon. Genrally not scared of animals.

  • Ever since my colectomy, I have an irrational fear that someone is going to randomly punch me in the gut.

  • @Morpheus
Oh yikes, that's very understandable. ๐Ÿซ‚

I once had a guy start merging into my lane...I honked at him, he corrected back into his lane...and then proceeded to merge straight into me, anyway. ๐Ÿ˜–

For about a year after that, I had some PTSD where I couldn't be in anyone's blind spot because it felt like they were going to merge into me.

Thankfully, that fear and anxiety has mostly gone away, though I still speed up to get out of blind spots, six years later.

...And yes, he got a ticket and his insurance paid for my SUV to be fixed. ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’ต

I'm afraid of wetting the bed. I was never a bedwetter, but my ex wet my bed, and that really freaked me out for some reason. Then my mom's ex wet the other side of the mattress. He was drunk
