What do you listen to on a long road trip?

I am about to head on a 9 Hour Rd. trip and I just finished my most recent audiobook. I like podcasts and having interesting articles read to me. I like all sorts of podcasts and my current favorite for writing in the car is called armchair anonymous with Dax Shepard Because it makes me laugh. Anyone have some good recommendations? Does anyone have any thing audio that would be on the topic of cuddling?

I have an Old Time Radio Player app I use on long drives.

Wow, this is a genre. I did not know existed but when I search the App Store, there are tons of old-time radio players. What are some of the shows you enjoy?

Growing up, there was a station in Philadelphia that played old radio shows on Sunday nights. My favorites are The Shadow, Suspense (especially the House in Cypress Canyon episode), and Jack Benny. Lights Out and Inner Sanctum are fun if you want something more creepy.

Omg @WriterGF I actually love the old radio shows! My parents would turn those on during road trips too..... whenever they could find a station that played them 😉

I also like podcasts or audiobooks that everyone in the car can get in to! When my kids were younger (and my car had a player), I would make them listen to my old CDs hahaha 🤣 📻

Sirius radio has many good music channels as well as talk shows, sports and old radio shows. Pandora, spotify and others are good options.

If I am by myself, I listen to podcasts (usually Critical Role, if i am behind on them ... i usually am). Otherwise it usually ends up being the radio shuffle.

@RedFox16 I have vivid memories of listening in the dark to Three Skeleton Key on Escape (that's the one with all the rats). Got up to turn the radio off, stepped on a rolled-up sock and shot through the ceiling

When traveling I like upbeat music that helps keep me alert. One go to album is Blues Traveler. Never liked the harmonica before I listened to them.

Podcasts—mainly history of all types.

The soundtrack to “Gardens of the Galaxy” (So “Awesome Mix Vol. 1 and 2), the soundtrack to “The Greatest Showman”, or an amazing podcast called “Was I in a Cult?”

I have my old iPod that has over 10 full days worth of music. That should cover it.
