I was browsing in my area and I started to wonder why professionals post pictures of themselves in clothing that they wouldn't be allowed to cuddle in.

Yes, I know why they do it, but should they?

If "Big Cuddle" wants to be taken more seriously, shouldn't professionals not be allowed to post pictures like these? I don't see these kinds of pictures when looking up doctors or therapists or other professionals on other web sites.

Thank you for someone finally saying something!!! This infuriates me about CC actually!!!! I would love to post the profile picture I was threatened with account removal TWICE for so that other members could compare it to what IS ALLOWED!!!

There are CC rules about what is and is not allowed in profile pics. But if no one reports a pic, odds are nothing will get done about it. Moderators don't have time to scan every picture before it goes up. If you are bent out of shape over someone's profile picture, then flag it. Problem solved.

Because the photos are just ..... normal photos. Of normal people wearing normal clothes. Some of which are suitable for cuddling, and some of which aren't. The purpose of the photo set is to show what the member looks like, not what they wear for cuddling.

I notice that the OP gives their age as 48. I have observed that there is a generational/social question here, at least in the USA. (Which may or may not apply in this case.) It is relatively common for some middle aged members on this forum to find certain outfits somewhat inappropriate, while younger/more metropolitan people are genuinely baffled by that viewpoint since, to their eyes, the clothing is manifestly appropriate.

I also notice that OP does not have a photo of themselves at all, and observe that the vast majority of complaints on the forum about photos are from people who do not post a photo. This I find ..... interesing. Why would you complain pubically about other people's photos when you don't have one yourself? I am genuinely interested in the answer to this question.

The mods tell us repeatedly that photos which break the terms of service should be Reported. The practice of the site is to consider context when deciding whether a photo is appropriate. For example, male topless bathroom selfies are not permitted, whereas a topless male playing with his children on a beach holiday probably would be.

From the terms of service:

Profile photos

We have strict rules for what photos you are allowed to upload to your profile.

You agree to only upload photos of yourself that are fully clothed. Your photos cannot be suggestive whatsoever, even to a mild degree (e.g. focus on the cleavage). You must avoid potentially offensive poses or gestures (e.g. the middle finger). Your primary photo should be of you, not someone else.

Notice that the rules mention 'focus' on the cleavage: simply having one is, for some people, an unavoidable fact of nature.

Vaguely relevant story which is definitely, definitely true:

In the 1930s a British army colonel was arrested after causing a disturbance in the best hotel in Cairo at 3 o'clock in the morning. He was drunk, naked and loudly chasing two sex workers - also drunk, naked and loud - around the corriders of the hotel and thereby disturbing the other guests. This was not the first incident of this nature in the colonel's history, and the army decided to court martial him. However, they wished to avoid a scandal and sought a mundane charge, eventually settling on "Being improperly dressed". The case collapsed when the colonel's defence referred to the relevant passage from the army dress regulations. "An officer is not required to wear uniform while off-duty, providing he is suitably dressed for the activity in which he is engaged."

Exposed under garments and dangling cleavage get reported. That is not platonic but as I have been told by others, it does depend upon the Pro if it gets removed or ignored. The more they make for the site, the more latitude given.

Ugh I despise it here sometimes. Us mods receive zero compensation for handling reports. It doesn’t matter how much a pro earns on the site and how much the site earns in fees. Us mods see none of that and we have NEVER been instructed to allow pros to use their assets in photos or messages or anything to earn more money for the site.

I do wish individual photos could be reported. I have noticed sometimes in the report the reporter will say the pro is in lingerie or something and when I check, the photo is gone. Though we also do get a ton of photo reports and a lot of them are frivolous. But I can def say we do not skip reports on photos because of how much a pro earns, or because we are just being pervs, or because we are trying to protect friends we made on here, etc. I don’t handle certain reports against people I have made friends with here in order to not appear biased, so another mod will handle that report. Though sometimes a mod can miss an offending photo when issuing a warning and then that photo is no longer able to be removed by the rest of us, so there is that.

I feel like I’ve written this comment so many times on so many similar posts. Just remember, “pros” on here are simply people that use the platform to charge for cuddling. They do not require any sort of certification to be here. And yes, many people do book pros here based on appearance, unlike doctors, dentists, etc. Pros are allowed to upload photos of themselves in their daily lives, and can upload photos of them at the pool or beach despite being in a bathing suit (which they are not allowed to cuddle in).

If it appears they are using sex to sell themselves though, please report. If they seem innocent enough in a photo but then you notice a wall of sex toys behind them, please report (yes that was a real report). It’s also kinda funny when a guy is reported for being shirtless, and then we see a bunch of photos of them fully nude with everything on display because we see their hidden photos. I say funny but it’s really just disgusting and requires eye bleach, but sadly we get used to it 🤢

Edit: I also do not personally handle many of the photo reports unless it’s very obviously a rule violation like nudity or rude gestures that need to be taken down asap. I don’t feel I am the best at making decisions in these grey areas.

If seen Pics that shouldn't be allowed. I posted a picture of myself at the beach and it was removed for violating the rules. I just figured that they can't catch everyone

@BlondeGirl I agree. I had struck up a conversation with a female cuddlers here on CC that was pursuing Pro status. She had 4-5 pictures on her profile. Nothing overly revealing. No exposed cleavage of which to speak. First, she had to take down a few of her pictures. I honestly have no idea. They didn't even come close to what I have seen from some pros who have dozens of karma and who have been on for years. Second, she was not approved. I don't know why. I'm sure the moderators had their reasons. I believe she is off the site now. Too bad, as I enjoyed the intellectual exchange we shared

This is a non issue. There's no problem with advertising in visually appealing ways.

I don't see these kinds of pictures when looking up doctors or therapists or other professionals on other web sites.

You should see some of the print ads for real estate agents in my area.

I just checked yours and yeah I prob would have removed if I handled that report. The one in beach attire wasn’t obvious it was at the beach. We don’t check photos when uploaded so if others get away with it, it’s prob because they haven’t been reported.

Many hands make the work light. If you see a violation that makes you uncomfortable, report it. We can't assume someone else will see it and report it .

I don't think there is any malice or discrimination on what photos are posted.
I just think there are too many profiles to catch

I once had to remove a crop top and short shorts that showed too much of my magnificent hairy Buddha belly. I guess it was just too much of a temptation for the average cuddler to handle

@jackwallace I don't know why they were banned; nobody ever does except the mods. I might have suspected at the time, but I don't remember.

A well-established member would not be banned at once simply for a photo - they'd just be asked to remove it. But sometimes the photo is just the tip of the iceberg.

@TxTom That's something that's always bothered me (real estate photos). I'm sure somehow in the long-run this plays into housing discrimination.

@CuddleDuncan First, I'm not a pro, nor am I required to post a picture. As for the rules of the site, yes, that's true that those are the rules, but that's not the point I'm trying to make. The topic was about professionals and professionalism.

@pookah All "professional" means on here is that they are asking for money to cuddle. So in a lot of cases, "professionalism" does not enter into it.

Photos that risk pushing boundary is one item.

Some pictures include imagery of chakras, which some are more sensulaized, the specific location on the body

Some about us talk about energy, and also have potential correlation to tantra, reiki, both are not cuddles. But at least understandhow reiki has some overlap for some with cuddling when it comes to benifits

I can't call a woman Goddess, but they can call themself one, even has as their username?

How is all of this balanced and views by the mods, “big cuddle” and the owners of the site?
