They should probably change the name to divorce chat. I can't imagine a scenario in a trusting relationship where someone needed a picture that they didn't want their significant other to see.
Snapchat is known for the messages erasing and not staying on there. It is well known as being used by cheaters. If you screenshot anything on a message, it lets the other person know. Women on dating groups will say if a guy suggests Snapchat for communication, some go ahead and block them or say “next.”
Have no need to use it.
Is telegram the same? I’ve had scammers here try and get me go on that one.
I only use Snapchat for filters for pics. But I don’t message on it. I hate how it works and I’ve gotten way too many sexual messages and dick pics from guys where it just disappears so I have no proof….
Snapchat seems to be like all if the social media platforms. Sure features are different but that doesn't change much. They all can serve the same purpose. I use to think snap was for sex, secret pics and cheating but for some reason just like talking in it, they use filters and snap maps mostly childish stuff. But there are also a bunch of scammers in it. Tik tok for some reason people like it, i haven't spent much time on either but they are uselss. I haven't used telegram or kik but i hear there is some level of anonymity on them, I've been invited by a large number of scammers, sex workers to both of those including WhatsApp.
At the end of the day they are platforms with people and where people are scams will follow, sex will follow and whatever there is will be there because the internet. They capture everyone's data and sell it, advertise and now they all seem to sell product.
Somebody said "there is a sucker born every minute and all of the are in Facebook."
If I receive a message from anyone on this site who asks to move to Snapchat to talk, I immediately decline and end communication. It is a red flag based on experience here. It’s a sketchy site for kids IMO. I will block if he’s persistent. Also it’s required to keep all communication on this site if it’s Pro/Client interaction.
Personally, I love Snapchat. It’s easier to use when all my friends and family are on it for texting and regular updates
Yes, with friends and family, that’s a totally different situation. Here, with strangers and on a platonic cuddle site, some people have expressed that it’s a red flag if someone brand new, who you don’t know at all, wants to immediately move conversation off-site. This is typical behavior of Scammers also. If you want to video chat before a booked session (which I recommend) then use a Google Voice number, which you should for all calls anyway. Again it’s against TOS for Pros to interact offsite before booking a session.
@g_ t_w_w But Snapchat users don't feel t hat way at all. They don't care if you're family or a stranger they use Snapchat. Old friends an new friends. It something you can draw a line on but all I'm saying is you'll miss the mark a lot of the time. But you can always be spot on, it's a toss up with all of these messaging apps, none has greater risk than the other, you have to be careful how you use it. And everyone knows the TOS and that wasn't was asked about. But as a user of some messaging apps i can guarantee as you look at one app thinking scammers are their the scammer is looking at the other app thinking the suckers are there.
Also think by numbers more people have been defrauded on Facebook messenger than all the others combined. And more than twice the people have been defrauded by text and I'm not sure how many more have been defrauded through email. But guess what use to happen over the phone.
I use KakaoTalk & WhatsApp for communicating with friends and family while I’m overseas. I use Google Voice for close friends I’ve met through the site. Why make it complicated with another app I don’t need, that’s just silly. I did install it on my phone several years ago and a few others that I never use. I’m probably signed out. I’m too old but you younger people might love all the options there. Have fun!
