It's very difficult to not get triggered to respond in an aggressive, defensive and some might say rude way in comments. Especially if you read something you feel is presented that way to you. I try my best but i don't always succeed not to do it.
For the record, @CharlieBear I think you and the other mods are doing a great job. I have a few friends in law enforcement. Because of the nature of their job, they see the worst of humanity. As a result, they have trouble taking off the badge. They look for the potential threat in every situation and have trouble enjoying the positive things in life. They consequently have a very dark outlook on life. They have to make very conscious efforts to stay positive. I imagine your job as mods have some of these aspects. I certainly could not do what you do. Thanks for not giving in to those who are out to get you.
Most people are more daring to say things online that they wouldn’t have the balls to say to your face because they know that saying and doing what they do online that there will most likely be little to no repercussion.

I'd say don't take it too personally, and check all possibilities before you leave. Personally, I will probably leave because the number of active users in my region is very small. I've already messaged every woman that isn't pro. Even the pros, there's like 2 that are active. Most women don't reply, ghost, have nothing to say, or are rude. I'm only still here for one ongoing conversation.

I am accused at times of being rude. I prefer to think that it is more so a matter of not believing in forced positivity and niceness at all costs. That being said, I know I can go overboard and get too personal with attacks and I don't like that about myself. I never want to hurt somebody. That's never my intent. I'm trying to be better.
There are jerks everywhere. The best thing for this particular case is to have your head held high and don't lower yourself down to their level. Haters will always hate. Sending hugs your way

I think this adage I've heard makes sense.
"If you have an interaction with a rude person during the day, then you just ran into an asshole. If you have multiple interactions with rude people all day, then you are probably the asshole."
Everyone has the capacity to be rude and everyone has been rude at points in their life. I think rudeness seems to be increasing because people are more isolated and involved with their phones and computers so politeness and etiquette are practiced less than they were years ago. Add to it levels of misinformation and hate that is circulated online and is it any wonder rudeness is prevalent?
