I never expect one, I charge a rate where my income does not need to be supplemented. I do not think any lesser of anyone who does not tip. But tips are welcome of course
Tips are never expected or required. But, I have to agree that it’s a nice surprise when given and greatly appreciated. Aldo, I would add, under no circumstance feel like you have to tip, just because some people do!
@pmvines funny story, the first time I received a tip from a client, I told him that he had mistakenly overpaid me, he replied that it was a tip. I felt a little offended (and confused) and told him “I don’t provide extra services, therefore I don’t expect extra money” . He seemed confused. Shortly after, I realized he was only trying to be kind and generous. So, I learned my lesson about making assumptions!
Expected? No, definitely not expected. But as with any service, if the experience is exceptional, especially if I’m extra accommodating, going above and beyond, and you really appreciate it. Money talks more than a “thank you, your the best” and it’s very much appreciated. Doesn’t even have to be elaborate, but it’s very thoughtful and probably in the end helps us both out. But if there is anything I think I should be compensated for (driving/transportation/ massage/ etc.) I wouldn’t let that sort of thing just hope I get tipped for, so everything I am expecting to get compensated on is already drawn out for my clients and I. So it would purely be for exceptional service on my end.
@pokergirl89 how do you define being extra accommodating and going above and beyond?
I consider cuddling a therapy. Therapy is a non-tipped profession. If asked, I say it’s not customary. If given one, I thank them and take it. But no, not required or expected - but nice when it happens.
When I was a pro, my hourly rate was $97. I allways got tipped.
I don't usually leave tips when I engage pros, but I have before--especially if their base rate is below that of other pros in the area.
Sometimes I perform a standup at the end of a session, and ask for tips that way. I don’t even ask for tips as a professional tour guide - but mainly because there is a sign in multiple languages next to me, and like others mentioned I work for a company and get minimum wage.
I see statements like this in many profiles: "The site takes 15%, so tipping is always appreciated!"
That makes me feel that such pros expect to be tipped, or at least hope to persuade you to tip.
@Jubal I scroll past those profiles. I have an upcoming out of town appointment in a little over a week and she kept giving me discounts because I had to drive to her and I said look, I am going to give you your rate because that is only right. She thanked me. Those are the ones I book. I will probably tip her because of her kindness. But someone who tries to guilt you into tipping? A hard no. Besides, if you know the site takes 15% and that is a bridge too far, then raise your hourly rate.

I was talking to a pro who I have a good relationship with and she was telling me why she chose the rate she did. Her "day job" is service based (imagine something like a personal trainer - it's not that, but as an example), and when she makes time for cuddles, she can't take an appointment for her day job. So, she basically set the rate as the same as her "day job" rate + 15% to cover the fee. (Then rounding it to an even number)
Lol with the prices of some pros on this site, gonna need some cashback
I can't speak for other cuddlers, but I personally never expect a tip! I'm always grateful of course, but I feel like if you are able to set your own prices, you have no reason to feel entitled to any amount of gratuity. If the person is paying the price that I set for my own cuddle services, then I am happy 🤗
i always tip if the cuddler does a good job amd her and I get along with each other.
No. Pros set their own prices and this is something where it makes me uncomfortable to do (just my opinion for myself, if you want to tip go for it). An exception being if I included it before the session if they went out of the way for me like driving a longer distance or something and not asking for compensation.
I've had more sessions where I've been tipped than not. Not sure why, but I think they assume it goes towards building trust. And with trust, comes discounts.
I charge like 1/2 my normal rate for people I trust because I consider the high rate to be a form of hazard pay(although my rate isn't the highest). Within the first few meetings, you don't really know the person you're cuddling with. For people I trust and genuinely enjoy conversations with, I don't care as much about the actual rate as long as the travel is covered.
I feel like tipping is akin to receiving free cuddle time from a pro, so no, it should not be expected.
Tipping is only a thing because servers and uber etc are underpaid if they don’t get tips.
I never understood why hairdressers, tattoo artists, massage places expect tips because the rate they are charging is generally not cheap stuff, and often quite expensive.
Yea i wonder why some massage places expect tips 🤔 🤣🤣🤣
But you should have seen the look I got from the dude at Auntie Anne's after not tipping him for serving me a pretzel dog and a lemonade. Unreal.
Yeah - they make well above the $2.13 an hr or whatever servers make. Though it is kind of weird to me - why is it acceptable to tip restaurant workers but not fast food restaurant workers? Some restaurant workers make an hourly and expect tips. Fast food workers work very hard too.
I mean yes, but also some fast food workers are making 15 dollars an hour and who would you be tipping? The fry guy? The person who steams the buns and adds condiments? The person who fries your chicken? The one who microwaves your sides? Or the one who rings up your order? Seems too many working parts for tipping. Though I suppose it could be like the coffee shops all do where they ask to leave a tip when running your card, which I assume goes to all the staff at end of the shift.
I don’t expect or ask to receive a tip but almost always do.
Yes - if the fast food worker is making a decently above minimum hourly wage customers would be far less inclined to tip. But there is no sure fire way of knowing all the time.
And yes that’s fair, but also points at, in my opinion, how silly it is to only tip your server at a sit down restaurant - but not the chefs or the dishwasher or the bus boy or the manager working long hours trying to keep the place from falling apart - and yes some servers are supposed to share a portion of thr tips with other workers but it’s usually a small amount and not every place does this.
I do wonder how those leave the tip at the cash register gets divied up to employees.
Not in this line of work, unless you go above and beyond.... Which honestly was the original point behind tips in the first place.
So often we're expected to tip for mediocre services/bad attitudes
Not expected but appreciated 💚💚💚💚
Tips? Who tf bought to be paying tips to yall pros??? 🫤😩🤨
Tips are welcome! Clients are not required, but pros definitely love when we get an unexpected tip.
I tip most of the time

Well, I definitely tipped my massage therapist yesterday...She did a fabulous job of rubbing and moving knots that I didn't know was knots! 😄
Lol
It was a little painful (which I expected, so I just breathe through the pain, it's all dandy😄) but she dug her fingers and moved it on down. I thank her tremendously for her effort!😁👍 I usually request a man massage therapist, as men are more heavy handed then MOST women massage therapists (that I have hired to provide deep tissue massages, none of that light Swedish stuff for me✋😞). However, I was pleasantly surprised by this woman's heavy handed effort and will definitely request her again on the next Spa Day that I plan for. 😁😁😁
