    In theory, profiles here are presented as a means of quick introduction, and sorted by location to you. Regardless if you are to meet in person with them or not, the website allows you to communicate with these people one-on-one or collectively here in the forum. Communicating with others IS the first step to intimacy. ;)

    The net is awash with dating sites. This isn't intended to be one of them. You may find your attempts to connect are knocked back. That said, there seem to be plenty on here that don't get the idea of cuddlebuddies.

    Bruin, reading this after my own response to you in another topic makes me raise my eyebrows a little. We seem to be on the same page, just different angles of it? :D To note, not all intimacy is sexual and/or romantic. It's possible to simply have deep connections with another, and knowing what kind of intimacy you seek will make things a lot easier for you in the long run.

    Hmmm. I think I just interpret text differently to you. If someone heads a thread 'Looking for love' and then goes on to refer to looking for intimacy, that reads to me as if they're seeking a romantic connection.
