Hahahaha!! Hey, @Erin_Elle_ , Me, too!!! lol I was thinking about this, again, the other day. I've got friends who ride, but it's important to me that I don't make them feel IN ANY WAY "uncomfortable." It would be soooo great if I could just ask for a simple ride, but I don't care to send a message that could be misunderstood---then, we'd be feeling "weird" around one another, you know? lol
To prevent the motorhead derailment that seems inevitable, let me ask a genuine question, possibly re-directing this thread into the deeper, underlying question that originally made me post it:
Men: Would it make you uncomfortable if a woman were to ASK YOU FOR A RIDE ON YOUR MOTORCYCLE? Post your thoughts? Please?
Yes if she wanted to borrow it. 😎
No if she wanted to ride along behind.
People ask both more often than you’d guess.
@lovingspoonfull ~Seriously?? Wow...lol I'm genuinely surprised that someone would ask to BORROW your motorcycle!! But you said that would be okay with you, so I guess it's not out of the realm of possibility!! lol A few folks higher in the thread made the same point about not wishing to have anyone ride along behind. I can see where it could be distracting, or possibly even uncomfortable.. Thanks for chiming in

My response was yes it would make me uncomfortable if she wanted to borrow it. I was pretty possessive of my bike. 😇
And, no it would not make me uncomfortable if she wanted to ride along behind me.
It was a comforting feeling having someone snuggled up and holding tightly.
Sadly I sold mine when I moved. Didn’t use it often enough to keep it.

The clarification is appreciated, though. My sideways mind read it as you were saying that you WOULD lend your bike, but you drew the line at having a rider. Finding out that you would be willing to give someone a ride DOESN'T HELP!!! lol

I grew up with motorcycles. On and off-road motorcycles. 2, 3, 4 wheelers. I've done 1000 mile road trips on Honda Goldwings, pulling a pop-up trailer. There's nothing like the Milky Way in or near Canyonlands in southern Utah. A big yes to cuddles in said trailer. I'd not consider riding on a bike as "cuddling" - more like very close together, leaning into the curves and balancing against a head wind or side wind at 55-65 miles an hour. TBH, it's tough enough for riders to be safe on the road, let alone throwing in a distraction like cuddling. Let the bike be the vehicle from point a to point b where one may cuddle, but the journey itself as a cuddle.
If video games has taught me anything, it is that I would most certainly die if rode a motorcycle....
I’ve done the motorcycle cuddle with a cuddle buddy in the past and we both enjoyed it. She was excited to ride on the motorcycle because it was a new experience for her. I would do so again anytime.
It would honestly depend on if she knows how to be a passenger. I had a friend ride with me one time that had never rode before and she was annoying the hell out of me because she was scared. We were riding with a bunch of other couples and after about 30mins I stopped and got off my bike and explained to her, that, I love myself and dont want to get hurt, so she can absolutely trust me to do everything in my power to keep us both safe. I then explained that she needed to hold on to me but keep her body lose and follow my lead. When I lean you lean.
That's all it took. We hauled booty to catch up to the pack and she was always welcome to ride with me. She ended up not riding with anyone else ever. In fact years later, I went to go look at a bike for sale once that a guy was selling. I asked him why he was selling it and he said because his wouldn't ride with him not even once. Imagine my surprise when I went to look at the bike and found out his wife was my friend from back then.
@Sideon ~ You have just unlocked, for me, a new Cuddle Goal: Let the motorcycle ride be merely transportation, with the delighted understanding that, when we stop, we will cuddle in the pop-up!! No one needs to see me sit up like a poodle, waiting for this!!!

Me and my imagination have been schooled by these salient comments.. My imaginations don't fit in with the real world of having to keep the "shiny side up and the rubber side down" in riding, so I appreciated the clear-headed wisdom that keeps showing up.
