Fifth-wheel Camper Repair and Maintenance... What have you had to fix? Share tips, please? :)

Ugh... Water intrusion...vermin infestation...mold... Please share tips!!! lol

Before Seasonal Affective Disorder turned me into my yearly version of SATAN, I was happily discovering the world of the outside: camping, bonfires, impromptu drunken drumming around fires, and kayaking!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS SEASON!!! lolol

However... I wish to be of service, to offer help. My friend's camper didn't weather the winter well. I'd like to help fix what's broken, but my experience is with houses, not campers! :( The camper has "slide-outs," and there are leaks that need addressing...before we get to hang out, safely, in there while we forage for morel mushrooms, kayak on the river, build bonfires, and cause nonsense at the campsite!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!! lololol!!! :)

ANY repair and maintenance tips you can offer will be deeply, deeply appreciated!!! We found the Breaker Box and figured out, last year, that the AC wasn't working because of a flipped breaker!!! lol There are things that are similar between campers and houses, but there are some things that are TOTALLY FOREIGN to me and I don't yet know how to help... :(

Campers, PLEASE SHARE!!! I crawled up on the roof and discovered cracked sealants, missing covers, and I'm somewhat concerned about the dry rot that I saw. ANY TIPS YOU CAN GIVE... :)

Thoughts?

    @Homesteader isnt owning a camper great ? 😂

    Anyways , yeah when my kids were little we owned a slide out 3 bed pop up camper with ac. It was awesome. Bought it at RCD campers here in Ohio. We had a permanent campsite for 10 years at Old Man’s Cave . They are real helpful in directing you in right direction for peeps to repair themselves or hire someone to do it

    Years ago you had close to you that Raper RV place in Richmond Indiana. It was one of the biggest RV locations around. It sold to Camping World Co and they are known for helping with service / maintenance questions.

    Yeah winter / storage is hard on those things Just gotta seal it up tight as heck. There’s even companies that will “winterize" your rv .... You probably know a lot of this already but yeah maintenance on those things never seems to stop ! Good luck ! And happy camping 🏕️! 😊

    @OhioMike ~ WAAAAHHHHH!!! << In my Lucy voice, crying!!! lol

    I, personally, don't own a camper :( However, my friend who kindly introduced me to KAYAKING...OH MY GOD!!! I F*ING LOVE KAYAKING!!! YAAYAAAAYYY!!...I digress... :)
    Um...That's it!! I remember Tom Raper RVs!! That's why this is so awesome!!! I'm a fan of Neville Goddard, etc, and that explains why this is so HUGE to me!! Thank you!! :) I'ma havta go journal, now!! lol

    Anyway... I don't know sh*t about campers, but I am AMPED to learn!! I would like to be of service to my friend.. Help her fix her camper...because she has given me the experience of camping!!! I am deeply, deeply grateful, as someone who grew up in the concrete jungle!! The stars are beautiful without man-made light..

    Folks who have newer campers may not find this post-worthy, and I understand. I was just hoping some of the oldheads, who've seen the rough side of campers, might weigh in. I'll do my video research, in the meantime! lol

    @OhioMike ~ Message me! I've got some questions!!! lol :)
