After hour requests

I have found that most messages that come my way do so Friday sometime around midnight? Has anyone else experienced this? Is it just that people want to set up cuddles for the weekend but don't think about it until last minute, or could it be something more sinister? I just wonder if I'm being overly defensive, ore if my initial reactions are good intuition. Thank you.

  • How does a late Friday message equate to something sinister lol I think most likely people work Monday through Friday and are off Saturday and Sunday so they stay up late Friday nights whereas they go to bed earlier during the week. I would bet that most social media sites are likely more active on a Friday night than they would be on a Tuesday night.

  • I see your point, thank you for the perspective.

  • @Morpheus brings up a good perspective that many people may be working through the week and wait until Friday evening to send out a message or cuddle request. I would think though that waiting until Friday night to request something for Saturday or Sunday would be a toss up if they already had plans, but sometimes it's a last minute thing to want to reach out for someone to cuddle with.
I can only speak for myself when I say I'm a night owl and work nights until midnight most days so I'm use to being up late until around 4-6am. When messaging anyone new just saying hello (Pro or non-pro) I try to do it during the afternoon or early evening hours so it isn't say a 2am message for first introductions.

  • I wouldn't meet up with someone late like that if they are a stranger, but nothing really wrong with exchanging messages

  • I don't mind late night messages, but I hope people realize they may not get quick responses to them.

I unfortunately get a good amount of "Come cuddle right now" messages late at night or on the busy weekends. While I have a decently flexible schedule, those last minute requests almost never work. It takes about 1 hour to get ready (I always freshly shower etc) then since I'm in LA it takes at least 30 minutes to drive anywhere. Sadly I've had people get upset that I can't accommodate their needs at super late hours or at the last minute.

I don't really think it's anything shady. Just people realizing after work or later in the night they would like some comfort and companionship. Those are probably the times most people will feel lonely or sad the most so they seek a way to fulfill those needs immediately. Even if it's just chatting with someone online that can help.

I remember inviting a girl over off of Craigslist. to cuddle at 1 am. I'm 5'7, 210 lbs and she was 5'2, 110 lbs. Still, I hid all of my valuables and cash as a precaution.

When she was on her way over I remember thinking "does she know this is just cuddling and not a strange booty call?"

In the end we both just wanted cuddling and neither of us ended up dead but I wouldn't invite someone over that late again. Wouldn't be opposed to a 10 pm spontaneous cuddle tho :)

  • The great thing about messages is that they can be read at the convenience of the receiver, and can be sent at the convenience of the sender. They are great for introductory messages, but not so good at practically immediate connections for cuddling.
