Problems with cuddling

[Deleted User]Analyticalace89 (deleted user)

Is when a professional cuddler is in a relationship or married. Another reason why it's difficult to book. I understand with communication, boundaries, etc works. I hope you don't where I'm coming from. (What I'm saying )

Not sure why it would be an issue with a pro, moreso than an enthusiast. A pro is running a business, which means her partner most likely knows and is okay with it. What you are doing with a pro is a business transaction, you're not starting a romantic relationship. Only reason to be concerned about this with a pro is if it is ruining your fantasy that it's going to be something more.

  • Nearly every Pro I've met or gotten to know is married or in a relationship. They may not advertise this as it's bad for business. But if they schedule a cuddle, they should be able to make that appointment, regardless.

Are you saying it's difficult to book with them because you would rather cuddle a single person? If so, your best bet is to flat-out ask if they are living with someone, and hope they answer honestly...

But be aware that women will see asking about a relationship or living arrangements as a red flag. It usually indicates a desire in the client for more than a professional relationship, and could even be dangerous to admit if they live alone, if the female is hosting.

Just some context and food for thought! I hope you find caring cuddles, soon! 🫂

  • @Analyticalace89 I take the ace in your name as asexual so I assume reading the way you wrote this as you feel the pro being in a relationship or being married reduces the chance of them booking because it is one more distraction taking away time from their pro gig. Interesting approach and there is some merit to that view as being married and having children does wreak havoc on schedules at times depending on their home life. But not all. I have seen well over a hundred pros and there is a vast array of situations out there, so while some may incur the limitations on their time because of family, I have seen a ton that are single or single moms and plenty of pros who do have in their profiles “available most any time”. In the end it depends on the individual so I wouldn’t get too bogged down with their relationship status.

  • Many professional cuddle providers have a large capacity for caring, as well as the skill of connecting a variety of individuals. So it makes sense to me that we can maintain relationships and also have the ability to share platonic energy in a cuddle space. Its a plus, in my estimation.
If my house and heart are in order, I am more enthused to share my time and energy with others. Plus, there's no confusion about my motives or intentions here.
However,I have had one cuddle client tell me they can only cuddle me if I'm single and only cuddling them...I never booked with them again.

@writer yes 👍 thank you. I agree with you ! 😊 though, I am divorced/single . I would not cuddle others if I were married/in a relationship. No judgement to those who do , as I have no problem seeing non single clients. @Analyticalace89 Pro cuddlers are kind and caring ..we have compassion for others. Just because we charge a fee does not mean we don’t care about other people’s feelings.. I’m a RN. I do not do that for free either.. it’s a platonic occupation as well 😊 We offer a listening ear, a non judgemental space , comfort , peace, solace, positive calming/healing energy 🤗 Platonic companionship.. Platonic human touch .. The key 🔑 word here is PLATONIC. 😊 similar to going to a hair/nail salon, chiropractor or psychologist office ., even a visit to see a licensed massage therapist, etc… it doesn’t and it shouldn’t matter if they are married or not.., you spend a few hours together and then you leave, renewed and feeling happy 😃 Platonic happy thoughts! The only time you will see any of those people again would be at your next appointment and not before/after., 😊 So, whether the Pro or Enthusiast cuddler is married/single should not matter . It’s just a Platonic service 🤗 Pros/Enthusiasts are NOT thinking about you in a romantic or non platonic way.. We also do not want to be thought of in that way when we are with you during a session .. Sending you virtual hugs 🤗 and kind positive happy vibes 😃

  • To say that the only reason this is a "problem" is if you are looking for more (something non-platonic, a relationship, etc,) is not taking time to consider other possibilities. For one, in reading the OP words, it seems a "problem" could be in scheduling. Being in a relationship (i.e. married) means you have responsibilities that put demands on your time that being single doesn't. Is this more so with pros than enthusiasts? No, but I'm allowing that the statement is coming from someone who might have given up on finding an enthusiast, and is trying to secure a cuddle with a pro.

Another possible "problem" that is beyond the whole "only problem is you wanting a relationship" is that some folks don't want to cuddle someone who is in a relationship that has nothing to do with it become something "more." This has been debated to death in other threads. Some will cuddle a married individual, some choose not to. Maybe they don't want an angry spouse coming after them. Maybe it's a mental block for them due to their upbringing. For whatever reason, it doesn't have to only be because they are hoping for something more.

I don't mean to speak for the OP. He can try to offer clarifying statements to his original thoughts offered. It seems a lot of advice and correction was given before trying to coming from a sympathetic approach. But such is the way of these forums.

I’ve honestly never cuddled with a pro who was married or in a relationship. I know some have kids, but honestly I think it’s kind of a moot point unless you’re wanting to book with them often and their schedule may be limited. I kind of think it’d be the exception rather than the norm because i don’t know many people who would cuddle others (even for a fee) and have their significant other be 100% ok with it.

  • I’m only giving my opinion but maybe OP is saying he can’t get a pro bookings because they are in a relationship or there’s bad communication on the pros part

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

But if it's a case that they struggle to book because of other commitments, why would they be pros at all? How would they make any money?

  • @WriterGF for every two really good pros you run into one really bad one. I have gotten to the point where I am pretty good at weeding them out, but they are out there.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@TheFunCartel My question still stands. If you are a pro who is too busy to cuddle, what is the point of being a pro? You're not making any money at it then. And if SunsetSnuggles is correct, the majority of pros are in a relationship and it evidently is not interfering with their business.

  • @WriterGF Why would they still do it? Easy side hustle that is convenient to their schedule. And I would say it’s 50/50 on being in a relationship. Met a ton of single moms, retired women and women who simply do not want any relationship. I probably see more single moms than anything.

Being too busy doesn't mean you are too busy to cuddle. Could be the pro is solidly booked.

  • Single moms are overrepresented here because cuddling fits their needs so well. Generally they just want some excitement within strict time slots, and weren't planning to let you into their lives, or to meet the kids. As a client you need to match their boundaries and not give too much.

  • [Deleted User]gem7 (deleted user)

Overrepresented? I guess I missed out on the quotas.

  • Yeah, I'd like to see the data on that. My cursory observation of pros listed in my area, and with those with whom I've spoken in various locations, would say "has no children" and/or do not want children (and some who say, "would like some day"). Sounds more like a point of view wanted to be

  • Overrepresented? I guess I missed out on the quotas.

    👍

@gem7 Me too. And I missed out on cuddling being "the excitement within strict time slots" quotas as well as a single mother. 😏

Guess I have been doing "single mothering" wrong here on Cuddle Comfort. 😊🤔

  • Tbh that's not really your concern, that's between them and their partner.

Known several pro cuddlers that were married that told me their spouse knew about it and was cool with it. I'm not one to judge nor is it my business to investigate whether that's truthful.

If you have a problem with it, so be it. Just avoid the cuddlers that state they are attached.

  • @gem7 idk how you measure "overrepresented", but I'd say a good portion of the cuddles I've had were with single moms. Most of them were jaded with the idea of the dating scene or sexual contact but missed the intimacy of a platonic cuddle.

  • [Deleted User]gem7 (deleted user)

@wilderdude I guess you could say this site is overrepresented by males. I do get the single mom deal.

  • [Deleted User]gem7 (deleted user)

@Katota Have you been just so busy making popcorn?

  • @gem7 sorry, I meant more on the pro side

  • edited June 2025

@gem7 Nah, I just pick and choose what I want to comment on with more caution nowadays...How are you, Gem? 😁

  • 52.7% are single moms here. I want to meet the mom missing .3% of her body.

@Katota Thanks for asking. If I were any better I would be twins. :)

  • @gem7 True. Good to know that you are doing good, Gem. 😁👍

  • Sooo I get a lot of “traveling” dudes who are married or in a relationship who reach out to me who I have a feeling do not regularly cuddle considering they open their accounts right before said trip or only cuddle “when traveling” and also want to see if I want to do dinner/drinks. No thank you. If you are reading this and are one of the said dudes… please book a professional and keep it platonic. I am on here strictly for therapeutic reasons not to get a date (gotta love the cycle of avoidant attachments and narcissists… and of course said above dudes only trigger this).

    ☝️😆

@Buffy8371 Lol! Yeah, I get a lot of those "traveling types" in my inbox too. 👍

If you are reading this and are one of the said dudes…

    Lol! They're not reading it...At all! 😒😆

  • @Katota I legit had it written out in caps and asterisks not married and not traveling like hi… go hit up the professionals not me. Lol. Let them bank. I’ll even refer. I don’t mind. Lol. These dudes still were messaging me. My blocked list finally got maxed out. Too bad there can’t be a chick cuddle meet up. I’m bi. Now that would be fun. Clearly platonic.
