Hello, I'm new here. My questions are - What is a Cuddle Party? How is one thrown? And this is a stupid question what do you do at a Cuddle Party? I live in Chicago 🤗.
https://cuddleparty.com/ Cuddle Party is how I was introduced to cuddling.
"Cuddle Parties are hosted by local people who have gone through a training and certification process. our Certified Facilitators are trained to teach the participants to make respectful invitations and communicate clear boundaries. Simply put, our Certified Facilitators help a room full of grown-ups in pajamas feel safe and comfortable while learning new skills and enjoying themselves!"
Cuddle Party is a trademarked name that is not associated with Cuddle Comfort. They talk about boundaries and consent, and they cuddle. A Google search will likely show you events in your area.
I’m a certified Cuddle Party facilitator. Yes, it’s a trademark name and the organization trains people on how to facilitate group cuddles safely. It’s not a show up and cuddle event - when you arrive there is a welcome circle where we go over the rules and practice some key exercises - like saying “no” and even more important - how to receive “no” for an answer, how to be clear and specific in your requests, how to clearly communicate boundaries, etc. After the workshop there is some open cuddle time where you can practice what you learned. You get to ask others to cuddle with you, or others ask you to cuddle with them, or you can ask to join a pile of people cuddling. It’s a great way to give and receive touch. There are cuddle party facilitators in Chicago, so events are likely held there.
Thank you, everyone for your feedback 😊
There are also MeetUp groups that might be in your area. @RadiantHugs mentioned they are facilitated by someone who has been trained. Cuddle Party isn't the only organization that has a desire for this thank goodness! Cuddlist is another great organization as well. Its a great place to dip your toe into the world of what cuddling is about. They used to do Cuddle Expos as well!! Lots of learning, exploring, connecting and relating etc.
Here's an example that we have here in CO Its a great place to look at how things are set up and the general structure of the events. https://www.meetup.com/community-cuddles-meetup/events/305993342/?eventOrigin=group_upcoming_events
I have to tell you.... this facilitated Cuddle Meet changed the course of my life on so many levels OTHER than "just cuddling"
Welcome to the site and May the Cuddle Gods be EVER in your favor!!
I realized, this might not be visible to everyone and its a great place to show one way of doing things.... Here are some rules and guidlelines to one of the cuddle get togethers I've gone to.

In a world where we are more connected than ever through technology, we often forget the power of physical touch. Humans have always known that touch can be healing, and it’s about time we put that knowledge to good use.
Consensual touch has been proven to improve our relationships with others and ourselves. It can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, heal old trauma, and promote positive attachment. However, without enough touch, people tend to feel lonely, afraid, stressed, and unhappy - which is something that many of us can relate to. Research shows that people can reduce each other's pain just by touching.
This is where Community Cuddles comes in. It’s a space where people can come together to explore giving and receiving touch in a safe, non-sexual, and consensual way. The first 60-90 minutes of each event are a structured workshop focused on knowing what you want, asking for it, and setting boundaries. If on any given day you don’t want to touch, then don’t. You never have to touch anyone, ever, at any of our events.
Community Cuddles is for anyone who is curious about safe, consensual, platonic touch, especially if you're nervous or have been hurt in the past. It’s about moving from pain to healing and celebration together. This is a closed event, and people of all backgrounds, genders, ethnicities, races, spiritual or religious beliefs, sizes, and ages (18 and over please) who are feeling healthy and have no known exposure to illness are welcome.
Community Cuddles promotes a culture of authentic connection based on full honest consent. It’s about trust, belonging, and empowerment. So, come join us in exploring the power of touch and let’s heal each other one cuddle at a time.

CUDDLING WITH STRANGERS
Cuddling with strangers sounds weird to most people, and may sound scary. Many people start out nervous at a cuddle event. Most end relaxed and joyful, really, really glad they came.
Our Group Cuddle is a group cuddling event and we love it - it is NOT a cuddleparty.com official Cuddle Party. Please visit CuddleParty.com to find a list of currently scheduled Cuddle Parties.
Buy your tickets and we'll see you soon! (or Venmo @CuddleJen or cash!)
Event location has ample parking, access to cold water, hot tea, clean bathrooms, and requires a door code upon arrival. Door will be propped open.
Happy Cuddling!!! 😊
