Gay man here, my first attempt at platonic cuddling was with another, equally young and more physically attractive gay man. I was a little apprehensive, but also kind of open to "we'll try this," and if it goes south, it might be fun anyway. During the course of two hours, we both had erections, long term and shorter term. When it happened, we didn't even speak of it. We just shifted positions.
