What makes you choose a cuddle professional/enthusiast?

What aspects in a profile draw you in? Is it the picture? What in the bio makes you think "this person seems good for me"

  • There’s no formula to it. I know many will sound in and say that no one reads profiles… but how they describe themselves matters most.

Humor, focus, hobbies, what they hope to offer.

Photos can complete the story, add context, etc.

Seeing cuddlers participate on the forums has been helpful to Me, in choosing a possible cuddle buddy.😁🫂

Not everyone is open to forum participation but it does make a difference in getting merely acquainted, versus getting acquainted with the ones that don't partake in it. That's been MY experience anyway, to each is own and all that jazz. ☺️👍

  • I’ll probably have an easier time telling you what makes me want to avoid a person. Here’s a few:

    1. An empty profile
    2. They seem snobby or full of themselves
    3. No karma
    4. Bad karma
    5. Overly filtered or AI pics
    6. Too many price add ons
  • The eyes and a nice smile.

  • First off, they have to be near me. Then the profile has to say something about who they are. Some profiles mention nothing more than cuddling style, which says nothing about if I could have a conversation with them. Many profiles say nothing at all, which by a strange coincidence is always my level of interest in cuddling with them.

  • Moving thread to Professional Cuddling. While this topic post shouldn't be taken as advertising, which would belong in the Pro Requests section, due to the topic covering profiles I'm at least moving this here with a redirect link from General so the conversation can continue.

Personally I'm not very interested in a pro, I know it's stupid but I want to feel wanted, it's a hit to my ego to pay lol, if I really felt I needed to cuddle to improve my quality of life and I wasn't able to attract what I wanted I would break down and pay and if I did I think attraction plays a large part, to an even greater extent personality to me is important, someone that is positive and funny, easy to talk to, etc... Most of the people I check out (read their profile) is because I saw them post in this forum, either I didn't agree with them or I did agree with them, a little while ago I checked out a profile because I thought their name was hilarious @lilhugdealer .

  • I love this question, @BrieB!

Actually, just the fact that you are curious, that you care, suggests someone I would want to have a session with :)

For me, I definitely look at karma, the specific wording....and more importantly, how the pro gives karma. I am drawn to those who show appreciation with carefully-chosen words. If a pro has karma, but doesn't leave any, I move on immediately.

Pictures are probably the most important. It's the main way we discern when looking through profiles. I look for a profile with only a few photos, but more than one.....with different environments, facial expressions, usually with at least one with a smile. There isn't a specific photo I look for; rather, I want to gain some sort of feeling for the pro by the way she curates her photos. Close ups, distance, and places she enjoys all figure in.

Second, I look for a profile description that shows creativity, originality, and imagination. Again, nothing specific, but something that induces me to wonder. I stay away from overly long pages, especially the ones that have too many do's and don'ts. I want to schedule with someone who trusts their ability in vetting clients, and I look forward to that happening through messaging, phone call, video chat....if I reach out, and a pro responds with what seems to be a stock response, I move on. I'm just not interested in that approach. Same if they respond and haven't visited my profile. That just tells me she is mostly transactional.

Finally, I enjoy wit.....so I try to detect some in the messaging before we settle on a proposal. I gain far more anticipation if I sense someone with a sense of humor and playfulness.

    Hope this helps!

It seems that the answer to the OP’s question is: It depends!! We can see that everyone has had different experiences and different behaviors around selecting a cuddle partner. I do feel the need to challenge some of the advice given here by offering my own perspective based on my experiences as a paid cuddler.

@jmdank desires to “feel wanted” so doesn’t entertain the thought of a paid cuddler.
-When I pay my hairstylist for her services, I never doubt that she wants me there!

@beaubliss assumes a paid cuddler doesn’t care at all and is only interested in money if they don’t read their profile before responding.
-I don’t make any decision based on profile text or karma, so my behavior would be a flag for this particular cuddler.

Even if someone has left me positive karma, I reserve my endorsement for those I would actually cuddle with again. So if @beaubliss saw this pattern in my profile, I would be rejected. Personally, I reject anyone that complains about too much emphasis on platonic boundaries. If they feel challenged by me clearly stating my expectations, they are likely to present a challenge when we are alone. No amount of “vetting” can guarantee how a person will act during a cuddling session.

I would encourage @brieb to not only ask “How can I present myself as a good partner to prospective clients?” - but also ask yourself “Does this person seem good for me?” before granting them access to your body

  • Though we are challenged by each other's perspective @DeerLady....I certainly do see your point. I really wasn't speaking about a pro withholding a reciprocal karma, I was talking about leaving no karma, ever. Sure, I can imagine someone not wanting to leave karma for a client who left some for them....but not everyone. Yep, there are plenty of pros that just do not leave karma for their clients....which is certainly their prerogative. It's not wrong....the OP just asked about why one would choose a particular cuddler, and not another one. I simply remarked that I am not interested in a pro that doesn't find a way to articulate their gratitude for their clients.

And regarding your other point, I never said that I assume that a pro doesn't care....or is only interested in money...if they don't view a profile prior to responding; I said that I believed they were mostly transactional. And I stand by that. I value curiosity the most, and not viewing a profile suggests a lack of curiosity.

  • To reiterate what others have said, what is written in their profile is a big factor. Pictures help. I’m usually looking for the ‘Kind’ factor. Some way they have shown that they will be kind and supportive towards me. I can get in my head real quick and if I have to question or second guess attitudes and comments, it’ll ruin the experience. I tend to gravitate to calm, bubbly, or bohemian types.

  • sense of humor in pics and facial expressions, interests, hobbies.
Being 'seasoned' I prefer over 35 under 65

  • Last online was a big factor for my first few sessions

  • Good Personality, even at the start with booking.
Responsive, I don't mean accepting a last minute booking but rather responding back within at least 24 hrs to my text.
Good sense of humor, even if my jokes suck 🤣
Just be a kind hooman 🤷

  • Great thread! Hopefully pros and clients alike will learn something from the responses :)

I may be an outlier….but my choice happens after initial contact. I may reach out because I like both the photos and the profile; but then everything depends upon her response….if I sense gratitude, enthusiasm AND she visited my profile, I’m more likely to take the next step.

I also read karma carefully, seeing what past clients rave about. In addition, I value greatly how the pro articulated her experiences and appreciation in the karma she left for her clients. If she never reciprocates, I generally never schedule

    Hope this helps!

  • If an enthusiast doesn't haggle, has read my profile, doesn't immediately try to get me to schedule off-site, is not a time waster, does not try to get me to go against my own rules in my profile, is polite and respectful, I will totally choose them
