Pro’s promoting themselves

Hey I don’t know if it’s just me but lately it seems like a lot of these pro’s have become desperate and are trying to hard to promote themselves on this site. Or sometimes they’ll message you first without even you visiting their page. Has anyone been going through this lately or it’s just me?

It’s not just you, I’ve noticed it too.
If it seems like they are using the forum to advertise their services, we can flag their post and it will be removed because that’s not allowed.
I’m sure you already do but for anyone else who experiences this, please report any Pro who messages you first or anything that seems against TOS, especially photos and key words in profiles!

  • Once in a while a Pro will send me a complimentary message about something in my profile.

What if I like receiving these compliments?

  • @TxTom
Then enjoy them and don't report them. 😊

@TxTom I've actually put a note in my profile saying that its ok for others to message me first.

  • @Jubal I have done the same

  • my first inquiry came as a simple 'hello'
    took a chance and responded
    looks hopeful, met up set,
    now I'm the nervous one...

  • Is a pro messaging first really against TOS? I don’t remember reading that anywhere in rules.

  • It’s in our contract. We are not allowed to cold call anyone. If they say something in the forum, we can message them to talk about it but we cannot promote ourselves to them unless they look at our profile first or initiate conversation.

  • @SpaceGoat There is a bit of nuance here. And everyone correct me if I am wrong. As I understand it:

Let's say we have MrsFriendly (just using a random name, as far as I can tell there is no such person). I have not done anything to show i know MrsFriendly; i did not message or visit her profile. At this point, MrsFriendly should not message first. However, let's say I see MrsFriendly's name and then visit her profile. At this point, MrsFriendly may message. I think the point is for cuddlers to go to pro's versus pros seeking cuddlers.

  • Well how is one to make friends on here too without messaging? It's not always about trying to sell services. Getting cozy in a new space and knowing people and sharing ideas and experiences are part of the experience.

  • "You agree to not initiate communication with our members unless you have reason to believe they will be interested in your services."

It sounds like there's a little wiggle room for the Pro to make a judgement call.

    If so, that's good.

  • @GoodhartCuddles as a pro, I’m still able to message people that haven’t looked at me if I want to chat about what they wrote in the forum or if they have something on their profile that I connect with. That’s totally fine. But the moment I try to steer it towards a cuddle, that’s where it’s not ok. So you can still get out there and share ideas and connect, but if the person you’re messaging feels like you’re trying to promote yourself, they can report you.

  • Ahhh okay yeah that makes sense. Messaging people and pushing for a booking would definitely be annoying.
