Elk Grove, Sacramento, Davis & Woodland CA -Navigating Loneliness and Finding Hope in Cuddle Therapy

Hi everyone,

I wanted to take a moment to share a bit about my journey and struggles with loneliness and mental health. Lately, I’ve been feeling quite isolated, and it’s been tough. It’s like a dark cloud that follows me around, making even the simplest tasks feel overwhelmingly heavy. I’ve found myself battling waves of depression that seem to intensify with my feelings of solitude.

I recently joined this cuddle therapy site, hoping to find some comfort and connection through cuddling with others. However, as I scroll through the threads, I can’t help but notice that many of you are already meeting for cuddle sessions, sharing those warm experiences, and building connections. I feel like I’m on the outside looking in, much like I do in the real world. The thought of being alone while everyone else is finding companionship is disheartening, and it makes me feel invisible.

I was excited about joining this community because I hoped it would be a safe space where I could connect with others who understand what it means to feel lonely. However, as time goes on, I’m beginning to lose hope. I fear that my struggles with reaching out make me seem less approachable, and that nobody is really looking to connect with me. It’s hard not to spiral into feelings of self-doubt and isolation.

I want to be open and inviting—please know that if anyone is also feeling this way, you are not alone. I’m here to connect, share experiences, and maybe even set up a cuddle session. I believe in the power of human touch and connection as a remedy for loneliness, and I wish to experience that with someone who understands where I’m coming from.

If you’re feeling similar emotions or if you’ve ever faced this struggle, I’d love to hear from you. Your stories, your presence, and your experiences mean a lot. Perhaps together we can find the warmth and comfort that we’re searching for. Thank you for letting me share my feelings, and I really hope to connect more with all of you.

On a side note I am needing to stay local to these areas because of travel challenges. I hope to find comfort as I am feeling I do not belong in this world where I feel no one cares if I belong in it.

Sending hugs,

  • Sending so much positive thoughts and hugs your way. Your post made me 😢.

Your words really touched me.. Sometimes even a simple hug, whether in person or just through energy can make the weight feel a little lighter.. I’m glad you shared this, it’s a reminder that we’re not alone in how we feel. Sending you calm, comforting vibes right back ✨️ 🫂🤗🪷

  • Thank you for sharing so openly, I know that took a lot of courage. I just wanted to let you know you’re not alone. While it may seem like many people here are already cuddling, there are actually quite a few who haven’t had a session yet or are still working up to it. It just takes time to find someone local who you vibe well with if it's not a professional. Location, travel challenges, and schedules can affect it too. Keep your chin up though.

I hope you keep reminding yourself that you do belong here, and that your voice matters. I'm sure others will see your post and feel less alone because you shared your experience.

Sending you warm hugs, understanding, and hope to find the connection you’re looking for. 🤗🫂

  • Don’t spend too long on the site!

It’s a fine tool to use to see who all is in your area. But if you find yourself checking in too frequently, and /or fixating on the curated lives of others, it can be just as harmful as other social media sites.

    Try checking in weekly.

Yes there are lots of folks here who have established connections with people, but none of that happens overnight. It takes time and effort. Don't be discouraged because it doesn't happen in a preconceived time frame. And if you are wanting immediate cuddles then there are lots of awesome cuddle pros who I'm sure can help with that.

Also, and I say this with all due respect because I realize people are here for different reasons. Do not expect that cuddling is going to fix whatever set of problems you might have. You referred to it as cuddle therapy, and though this is a term that is used sometimes I myself shy away from it because as much as I enjoy cuddling and love and respect the hell out of the people I've met and chatted with here, I do not see cuddling as a form of therapy. And I believe that when the word therapy is tacked on to an activity that it can be misleading, inaccurate, and potentially harmful to not just the client but to the cuddle pro as well. My thoughts and opinion on the matter. Not being critical, just am hoping that you are being realistic and practical, and not trying to substitute mental health intervention with just cuddling. Especially considering that you have voiced that this has been triggering negative self talk and self doubt. And that is not therapeutic.

  • I see that you are young , have a child, and so you cannot host. Does this mean that you live with a partner , roommate, or your child? Do you have connections with your family?
And if you're looking only for women, then it may also be helpful to share a photo so that people can feel more comfortable sooner.

That all being said, everything that you have written is very relatable to a lot of people I think , myself included, so don't feel like you are truly alone. ❤️

  • @Soni75 everyone has a reason to be here to cuddle and I actually have reached out to you a handful of times since I started with no response other then questioning my post on my experience. Maybe you would know more if you actually responded or attempted to connect.

And to everyone else, I do not know how to reply to you all on here individually, I appreciate all the kind words and support. Since then, I have met a handful of people who were actually able to meet me and they have reciprocated the positive support especially after our connections. I just hope there are more regulars in my area to have snuggles with as there are many who just come to visit the area and leave to another town a week later. I understand their situations but wish there were more wonderful people in the community like you all in my local area. :)

  • @Timbo17 I see that you directed your last comment to me ~20min after sending me a PM tonight.

I also see that prior to my first kind comment to you, someone else advised you not to expect immediate cuddles and not to expect that cuddles will solve your issues.
Along the same lines, I asked those questions for a reason and see that, instead of answering them, you immediately reached out (the first time) to arrange a cuddle date.
You sent me your phone number before sending me a photo (even though I had just advised how to make women feel more comfortable).

You did not even acknowledge my first post to you nor say anything else about yourself beyond setting up a cuddle date.

Basically ignored what everyone advised to you (including how to help women feel more comfortable), and then tried to shame me publicly for not embracing your misguided propositions.

I'm going to throw your ill-advised criticism back at you, @Timbo17.
Maybe I would connect with you better if you responded to my questions, heeded the advice given to you, and actually treated women like people instead of commodities you should be entitled to without any effort on your part to connect.

  • DOOR DASH ALERT

@Timbo17 Your Door Dash driver is approaching with your cuddler and the Pumpkin Spice cappuccino you Double Dashed at 7-Eleven.

  • @Soni75 and @Timbo17 if seeing this right there was no booking but the potential client here sent his phone number? We all are aware that is against the TOS and people get banned for it often.

Hello, all, that was when I first started and did not fully understand the rules and order of contacting others while learning the site. Also, the lady who has been critical did not respond to previous messages to respond to directly, only now that I mentioned her first response. She did not respond on previous messages to understand each other but has only been critical in these posts. We never connected as she did not respond to messages or booking. I am usually not critical and i appreciate the positive responses and those who I have met here

  • Moved to Cuddle Requests forum.

  • Hello, @Timbo17 , while I see the interchange that happened above - and I do believe that it is significant - I am going to still extend my understanding and support. Many of us are hurting, a little damaged, had tough childhoods or rough spells in life. You are not alone.

I'm going to share a quote that I try to live by as I pull myself up out of my own season of hardship:

"He who would have beautiful roses in his garden must first have beautiful roses in his heart." - Samuel Reynolds Hole

In our darkest hours, it is easy to lose hope, grow cold, and feel totally alone. These can only be tackled from within. And at the same time, I fully understand how much just one. single. hug. can help you find the energy to keep going.

It can be really healthy to have guy friends too, especially in your time of need. Sending you a big double-armed, squeezy, back-slapping brohug. You're going to get through this.

  • You are all kind thank to those who bring positive light in this community :)
