What’s interesting is that several female enthusiasts have responded to this thread. But several male enthusiasts just keep discussing amongst themselves and making assumptions about our experience and intentions on the site.
If you’re curious about our experience, read our replies. If you have questions about that, ask away.
@mauvefox ... that is just because we all know better than you do ... obviously ... we know your inner most thoughts. It's a gift ... and a curse ... 🤪
Just to be clear ... that was a 100% a joke. Please don't take the above statements as something i truly believe.
@mauvefox I see that happening here a lot. They don’t want to accept reality. Some people really do believe they should be able to control what others do and then feel very resentful when they realize they can’t. It takes some amount of life experience to get that reality check and some just haven’t gotten there yet.
@mauvefox I'll bite. What are some of your experiences on here?
@RiverBreeze Well I would be one of the enthusiasts that has already commented on this particular thread. And on many others like it. Perhaps it would be simpler to read my original comment and then ask questions about it. Rather than me retype it again.
I’m happy to share my experience as well as why I make the choices I do here. But not going back to read the very comments I’m referencing is concerning.
@g_w_t_w For sure. In almost every thread like this, there are enthusiasts and pros giving out gold on how to make adjustments. And sometimes I see the OP take everything in. But inevitably in the comments there are back and forth speculations about why these enthusiasts and pros operate the way they do.
We’re not gatekeeping it. We’re giving it out for free. But to have to retype it many times over is getting tiresome.
@GuyverGordon 😁 I’ve seen enough of you here to immediately know a joke when I see one. I also like the apologetic gif. 🤣
@mauvefox 😄 ... so glad you got it. I think that one was probably my edgiest(?) one yet. I always put a 🤪 as my bazinga (The Big Bang Thoery) emoji as a clue that I am not serious with what I am saying. (I always worry though)
... but then all I could see was Sgt. Hans in my head; I had to include him as well.
@mauvefox Thanks for the profoundly detailed info. I did read your comments, and be that as may, your concern about me is appreciated. I was actually trying to be nice, genuinely interested, and ask for a more specific... entertaining... or learning type of example but since you referred me to random threads I'll just scour and research every topic since CC's origin because my time is not valuable. Helpful stuff. ~Your humble servant.
@RiverBreeze
I didn’t refer you to random threads. I was pointing you to my earlier reply in this thread (page 2) and made note of the fact that I have commented historically on very similar posts.
I put a lot of thought into what I write here, so when someone says “I’ll bite” and then doesn’t read what I’ve already shared, it lands as dismissive rather than curious.
If you have specific questions about what I wrote, I’m happy to answer those. If not, I’m going to step back from this exchange.
😁
@GuyverGordon I like yours better 😄
@Chris_Cuddlez I don't check my messages here unless I get an email saying I have a new message. I typically log in and find far more than A new message, sometimes the oldest one being from 2 or 3 months ago. I could send you examples of messages of why enthusiasts very easily forget about this site! You seriously can't take anything personally, but there's unfortunately "lots" to be aware of..
From enthusiast I’ve received some replies and some I have not, but that has been the same experience I’ve had with some pros …just a couple non-replies. I just figured that professionals respond faster because, well… they’re professionals. The enthusiast respond when they desire to respond to me, no big deal if they are not interested.
