Hi everyone, I’m quite new to the app and wanted to ask for some perspective.

I’ve been experiencing people asking for my phone number before making a booking, and wanting to text or talk on the phone just to chat.

I’m wondering if this is considered normal behavior here, or if communication is generally expected to stay on the app until there’s a confirmed booking.

To me, asking for phone calls and ongoing conversations without a reservation doesn’t really align with how I understand the purpose of this platform, but since I’m new, I wanted to check in with more experienced members.

I'm not a pro, but even as an enthusiast I wouldn't give out my number until it was necessary (such as contact on the day of a scheduled cuddle - but I've even had cuddle buddies prefer to use this site for that, too). There's no reason for potential clients to have your personal number prior to an actual booking.

Hello there. This behavior is typical but I'm not sure if I'm qualified to deem it as "normal" or not. I don't give out my number and your caution is warranted. Outside-the-app communication is normally reserved for after a session is booked. But to each their own.

Good on you for using discretion and asking questions. I'd refer back to Cuddle Comfort rules and share them with those who insist on you sharing your personal information. Also, chats via phone are another form of Cuddle Therapy. Do with that information as you please.

Welcome! Just a friendly suggestion: it’s generally best not to exchange phone numbers until both parties have accepted the booking session. You may also want to avoid using your real phone number and consider a Google Voice number or a similar app instead. For video chats, I found it helpful getting a Snapchat account just for this site and keep location services turned off.

I mean, I have to agree to the following pop up every time I go to my messages with any professional. Isn’t this just the basic rules for messaging with a pro?

Don't lose your account
Always use the booking panel when agreeing to an appointment.
Only exchange phone numbers once you have confirmed a booking.
All subsequent bookings with a Pro must remain on Cuddle Comfort.

I only exchange numbers after a booking is confirmed, and then communication is only about session details.

Plus, after my recent experience, I'm getting a Google number to give out instead of my main number.

Pros aren’t allowed to give a number out until a booking is made. For me, I’m almost 7 years into this and at this point, I don’t give out my number at all. Whether a booking is made or not. Almost every time I’ve given my number after the booking is made, they ask for inappropriate things or send a dick pic. No thanks. I’m done with that. I would rather lose a few here and there that are upset I don’t give my number out to save from seeing more penis that I already am forced to see. No thanks.

Don’t ever share your personal phone number with anyone even after you’ve booked a session. In fact, I wouldn’t do that with any online stranger regardless of which social media you’re using.
Definitely get a Google Voice number for any online activity or communication.
No reason to give out irrelevant info. Not your real first name, definitely not your last name.
Protect your identity and stay safe.
(I use a nickname - no one needs my full name or birthdate, etc.).

There are a lot of services like google voice(free) or hushed (5 dollars a month) that will allow for creating a second number, without a full cellphone plan.

Services like hushed allow for multiple numbers, so that is one advantage it has over google voice

So I have a question, I've been on this site for a little while I've never booked a couple session with anybody yet. My question is I totally understand the whole phone number thing I don't give up my phone number to nobody, what if someone messages you says it set up a cuddle session and as their phone number to the question after only one message, then what? Is that even allowed?

If someone asks for my number, I let them know I only give my number if /when we meet in person. Everyone has been really polite about it and I haven’t had any issues when I inform them.

@deb1200 phone number exchange between enthusiasts is however and whenever you decide to do it. The only restrictions I am aware of are for pros where the site requires them to book first.

I am not sure how some may feel about this, but there are a number of free apps that you can download that will give you an alternate number that can be used for texting or calling if need be. I have used them in the past, before I gave up on dating. If the person you are talking to starts to make you uncomfortable you can easily ditch the number for a new one.
