What is this exactly and are there any plans to have these in the Sacramento area?

These are workshop-type events, usually lasting an afternoon or evening. They tend to start with trust and consent exercises, moving on in stages to touch and commonly finishing with a 'cuddle puddle', which is everybody piled up in a heap.
They are outwith the auspices of Cuddle Comfort, which focuses on one-to-one cuddling, although of course there are lots of people who do both.
Running such a party/workshop is much more difficult than it looks, and the organiser must have the appropriate training and/or experience.
Eventbrite and Meetup are good places to search for events in many areas.
