Hi everyone, I’m wondering if you would consider cuddling a restorative practice just like a massage or a pedicure or spa experience? Why or why not? (: love, anais
I answered "yes, but more" because cuddling is usually much more ... I don't know the word I'm looking for ... more active participation by both. During a massage, pedicure, or such, you usually sit back and let things happen.
I chose yes but more because I don't like massages and I've never tried, or wanted to try, the other two things mentioned at the top of the opening post.
Yes, it's restorative. I'm pretty introverted. A chill cuddle is like getting my mind recharged. Just like a battery you need two in order to get the current going.
and yes, it's also like a spa because I like giving and receiving massages during the session as well. I'm not well versed in giving massages, tbh I feel like a cat making biscuits. If I could purr while doing so, I would.
I find it helpful to use massage to communicate we want to do or be done and for the intent to be clearly stated.
