Admin on Aisle 5 please!

The AI photos and profiles are getting crazy on here about 10 women signed up in the last day or two all with the same profile text
I believe building strong relationships and mutual support is crucial, and I hope to share experiences and grow together with everyone. If you are interested in my work or interests, please feel free to contact me anytime. I look forward to more opportunities to exchange ideas.

Attentin Admin..ther'es got to be a better way to flag these?

The mods are volunteers with lives, if you see a profile that you think is fishy then report it as the mods don't have the time nor capacity to comb through all the profiles

Yeah, there's another post at https://www.cuddlecomfort.com/forum/discussion/24907/new-folks about this. Feel bad for the mods trying to keep up with it all, but I'm often surprised by how often new profiles get deleted before I can even flag them sometimes.

  • I do report often ... but the site limits the frequency of reports. And yes ... the admins are heroines and heroes

  • The admins are AI. Actual investigators.

  • @NYCCuddler. I wish you hadn't brought that up. I make $10 a pop by selling them to these new ladies.

  • This is not the most effective way to get the Mods' attention. If you see something, file a report. We are working very hard to get rid of these fake accounts, but a lot more have been coming in recently. It's like whack-a-mole behind the scenes!

@pmvines That's all I have been doing, is reporting, froend. Lol πŸ˜†

The Mods might be tired of MY WAY of reporting as I tend to get a bit too sassy with my reporting tactics. Lol 🀣🀣🀣 🀣

  • I’m called a bot often on Reddit. πŸ₯Ήβ˜ οΈ

  • I've never had an account I turned in get banned in less than 12 hours, sometimes immediately. That's really all it takes. If we made it through sex workers getting kicked out of Craigslist, we can make it through AI.

  • @DarlingNikkii

Do you tell them "bot I'm not!!"

  • @HappyHikes they do? That's interesting considering I've never hit that limit, and I'm guessing I'm one of the larger profile reporters. When I can't sleep I go on binges sniffing out rule breakers for funzies πŸ˜…

  • Things I do look for when reporting profiles:

    • photos that break the rules
    • implied or explicit indication of seeking non-platonic activity
    • untagged pros
    • clearly plagiarized profiles
    • clearly duplicate or fake profiles (typically copy pasta or blank with similar names, ages, locations, photos, etc.)
    • previously banned folks
    • profiles or photos where the user doxxes themselves or otherwise puts themselves in harms way
    • general rule breaking

    What I don't report:

    • potentially AI written profiles
    • poorly written profiles
    • photos that I personally find distasteful or unflattering

Reporting AI generated profiles that are not otherwise clearly fakes is a great way to make the site inaccessible and to lose active users like myself who apparently sound too AI-like. A lot of us neuridivergent folks write similar to AI for the same reason the tech does: it makes for clearly organized, easy to read and digest text.

  • It’s been out of hand for awhile now.

  • @HappyHikes posted: "the site limits the frequency of reports"

If so, that's news to me! Guess I don't report as much as some people like to imagine. πŸ˜„

I don't believe the OP was trying to report because the blurb was written by AI, but because the accounts as a whole all matched a pattern.

They all had a few random letters for usernames, all self-described as Fit and Single, 5'7" or 5'8", 37 or 38 years old, all with the identical About Me blurb...

  • @SunsetSnuggles ... to clarify ... if you report about 8 -10 profiles in a 2 or 3 minute span ... you get the message "you are moving too fast". I get it. To stop mass reporting of even legitimate profiles from someone with an axe to grind. I only report obvious ones.

  • @cuddlefaery I love that you go sniffing through profiles for fun! I'm not sure I have the patience for that, as I've thought about doing the same thing.

@cuddlefaery I report the same things as you when I run across them, but I by no means am on a witch hunt to root out potential offenders.

On a side note, no one has reported my plane pic for aviation nudity or for what appears an attempt by my plane to dry hump machinery. I guess metal fatigue is a thing and needs an outlet.

  • @cuddlefaery for whatever it's worth, I don't think you sound like Ai at all. Ai is antiseptic, bland, whereas your personality really comes across in your profile and comments.
