A Win-Win-Win Solution for a Problem We Didn’t Know We Had

I’ll be honest… I’ve never started a thread before, and I don’t even think I’ve responded to one on here. But I had a thought and figured I’d throw it out to the community and see what you all think. I’ve gone through the Terms & Conditions and the Client Service Agreement, so I’m doing my best to keep this aligned with how the platform is meant to work.

Let’s say a professional is planning a trip somewhere—maybe to visit a friend in another city. While they’re there, they might be open to booking a few sessions during that time.

Right now, unless someone happens to come across their profile, there’s no real way for people in that area to know they’ll be available.

What if there were a simple feature where a professional could set travel dates and a location, and members in that region could opt in to be notified that someone will be in town?

It feels like it could benefit everyone:

Professionals get more visibility while traveling
Clients get access to someone they may not normally get to meet
The platform sees more activity through organic connections

I also want to say this…

I have a real respect for professionals in this space. It takes courage to meet new people and, in many cases, invite someone into your personal space to help them feel safe and grounded. That’s not something small.

From what I’ve seen, professionals give a lot of themselves in this work. So in a small way, this idea is meant to give something back—just a way to create a little more opportunity while they’re already doing what they do.

    All members already have the capability to list a 2nd location on their profile. People who travel will frequently put their destination as their secondary location so that they appear in searches. They'll also tend to put extended travel details in their profiles so that people who follow them can see when/if they'll be nearby next.

    Some pros also will post in the pro requests forum almost like a travel blog for interested parties to follow.

I think what stood out to me is that those approaches rely on people actively searching or following, whereas something like this would make it more passive and visible for both sides.

    So instead of hoping someone comes across a profile or update, it creates a moment of awareness when someone is actually in the area.

    I wonder if the difference is less about capability and more about making it easier and more visible. Curious what you think about that.

    I think this is a topic to be added to the site recommendations thread and not really something worth us users discussing. Those sort of built-in features are decided upon and implemented solely by the site owners. Similar ideas have been suggested before, so all you can do is add your vote to that feature and maybe they'll consider it sometime in the future.

    Personally, I think completely automating the search like that removes the intentionality of seeking a cuddle partner/pro and would push the site further towards the mindless swiping of the dating apps.

    I think what I had in mind wasn’t so much automation replacing that intentional search, but more of a light layer of awareness—something that still requires the client or professional to make a conscious choice to engage.

    Maybe the difference is in how it’s implemented. For example, something opt-in and subtle rather than something that feels like constant notifications or passive matching.

    And you’re probably right that this ultimately lives with the site owners—I think I was more curious whether the community would even see value in something like this before it ever got to that stage.
