I have the Meta glasses (or I did before I dropped them in the water). I think you can only record like 2-5 minutes at a time, and I don’t think they would record when not on your head (could be wrong). The recording light can be hacked but I’m not sure how involved that process is (though putting a sticker over the light is probably much easier). The battery life is also not great so I would not be too worried about them being used as a spy device if they are set aside somewhere.
We don’t ban knives because they can hurt … recording has advantages and some negatives described/experienced. Depending on the situation after catering for the cons I would tend to side with what @cuddlefaery said

Yes, but I would prefer to not have one secretly put between my ribs during a cuddle, just "in case" While it may make the holder of the knife feel safe, if you're that worried maybe you're in the wrong business
Now if the person was to offer up the knowledge they will only cuddle with a knife between my ribs, at least that gives me the opportunity for consent or to walk away, which should be the bare minimum for any type of interaction and open communication

Comparing recording to a knife is a bit of a strawman red herring fallacy - one is for proof after the fact, and one is an immediate threat of bodily harm.
It’s technically a red herring / whataboutism, not straw man. But yes, logical fallacies seem to be a mainstay on these forums…

Hahahaha… I should have said kitchen knife that is what I was thinking of … not like a weapon knife…. (Where a kitchen knife can be used to hurt) And it’s not a red herring that digresses from the main subject … it’s just that most things in life have good and bad associated with them and depends how you use them … and this recording issue is similar it has its advantages if used correctly when needed similar to a knife that could be used to prepare vegetables and feed people … and recordings could be used to hurt relationships/lives/privacy …
@HUGGGGGG kitchen knives are highly restricted in the UK. they round off the points too to prevent stabbings on many kitchen knives lol. also have to show id and be of age to buy a kitchen knife.
Funny enough I lived there for two years … bought kitchen knives never realized this … … I’m definitely sure I did not show an id to buy a kitchen knife though in the UK … but I do believe you … I was never asked though
The general principle being there is a good and bad associated with most things in life … another example water …. It can give life and take life …… sticking to the subject there are pros and cons to recordings, if done the ‘right’ way may be useful
@JohnR1972 police really do not care and I’m thinking they have better things to do/more dangerous criminals to investigate than a misdemeanor sw… they won’t be knocking on your door unless the cuddler/sw mysteriously disappeared and you were the last person to call her phone 😳

@SweetCuddler33 you're 100% correct. It’s complaints from the public that lead to lower level solicitation investigations . Police do not care about prostitution unless there’s evidence of minors being involved or obvious trafficking, so no agency is going to waste hundreds of thousands of dollars in man power and surveillance to go after some random man who paid a prostitute pretending to be a cuddler, unless you’re some sort of nationally wanted felon or someone ended up missing.
@cozycuddler4you I believe it would be unlikely (but not impossible) for a man to be convicted for spending time with SW in a hotel. My point was that even if he avoided actually having charges filed, there could still be consequences such as loss of reputation, stress, and potentially having to hire a lawyer.
@SweetCuddler33 - MOST cops might not care, but some do. @cozycuddler4you mentioned the guy I was thinking of, Polk County, Florida Sheriff, Grady Judd, who holds press conferences with posters of men arrested for soliciting prostitutes. He mocks them as losers and perverts while talking about their wives, children, and employers.
Some of the men he has mocked later had the charges against them dropped by the prosecutor because the evidence against them was weak or the entire case bordered on entrapment. I could easily see someone like him harassing a cuddler if he had any evidence they spent time with a SW in a Polk County hotel.
