I spent all three days at Water World in Colorado which is one of the largest water parks in the country. My sister called me crazy, but I spent $300 on a season pass so I might as well take advantage of it.

I had the stomach flu followed by a vertigo attack. I finally felt better yesterday so I went out to dinner and a movie with a cuddle buddy.
I've spent the entire weekend in my hometown in CA with my fiancé and family🥰 It's been gorgeous weather and we've had the best time!!
I miss the old wave pool wave system at Water World before they nerfed in 2009. It used to unleash one big wall of water every 10 minutes and when it hit the shallow end, a rebound wave bounced back. People got thrown into each other. It was pure chaos.
Vertigo is no joke. Had it really bad in 2022. More mild form for years before. I hate it. Feel better soon fam
@Mike403 Elitch's used to have that wave pool, too, but more intense, from what I remember. 🌊 I haven't been to either in yeeears.

@SunsetSnuggles - I dont remember Elitch's ever having anything close and I've been going there almost every year since I was a child in the '80s. They have the current wave pool and wave system that has stayed the same since the water park section opened in 1997.
@Mike403 I just remember the wave seeming bigger, but I was younger than when I last visited Water World, so maybe it seemed to hit harder. 😆

@SunsetSnuggles - It always produced steady rolling waves while Water World did something different. It filled a huge hidden reservoir with water then dumped it all in the pool at once creating one big tidal wave.
Just work all weekend, but I'm off Wednesday and Thursday this week when you are back to work. 😂

Office picnic for my grandma's 80th birthday on Friday (yes I work with family) with I think some celebration at night but not sure. Saturday Chicago meet and greet in the early afternoon, then I THINK a birthday dinner at a restaurant for my grandma later that night. Sunday afternoon meeting someone new for some bubble tea and conversation.
Just found out I'm going to Vegas with family next month for my mom's birthday so I'm excited about going back there after many years.

Unwinding and relaxing, looking forward to just being in my own good company watch a few fav movies and do my first virtual cuddle call with someone I've been getting familiar with. I'm excited to hear each other's voices for the first time to place the words with sound, we have really been a comfort to each other so far. I think I might get more from virtual connections than in person when there's no pressure to have to think of allowing someone in my personal space. " Baby steps are still steps " my PTSD mantra.
