@CuddleDuncan Noted. Yes, all things being equal, I would make such a journey as close to the December solstice as I could. But I was reading the OP's query as where I would go right now if I could travel. Funny, just ran across Will Smith's journey to the South Pole on a Nat Geo program this past week. Maybe the universe is trying to tell me to gear up for a trek.
