Travel Fees

Hi all! I’m a pro here and have been for years.
I was previously in San Diego and it was relatively easy as I would host or be a guest and typically people were within 30 min of me. I did have people who were further out who would ask if I would travel to them and I’d let them know I would for a fee based on travel time.
I just moved to Tacoma and have a lot of people reaching out from Seattle for cuddles. I currently can’t host just for the first couple months because I don’t have my own space yet. I will in September.
However, Seattle is an hour + drive from me. Meaning it would be 2 hours minimum round trip and gas is like 5-6 bucks per gallon up here.
I’ve been rating it as 50/hr commute time.

With gas and the time taken to get there I don’t feel this is unreasonable at all but I genuinely want to know how cuddlers feel about it. I am workshopping maybe finding a day where I’m up there all day if I get three bookings and have them split the cost… idk trying to navigate this.

  • Hi. Congratulations on your move.

First, I wanted to say that I have found no one really cares about your room. I had everything I owned stolen so I only had a mattress and my dog is elderly so I never got a headboard or anything because he can't get on my bed.

Now I'm moving and my living room at times can be full of stuff. People are completely understanding.

As far as travel goes, Depending on the distance I ask for gas. I'll pay for the hotel if its 2 or more hours away however I do require a 2 hour minimum. 1 hour pays for my hotel and the other hour is my fee.
