Seeing a pro who sees multiple clients in a day

  • This is silly to me in so many ways that are too obvious to say out loud, but I will say from experience, this disclosure happens when the client wants a low commitment one hour test session and expects the option to extend at their convenience once the provider has earned their approval - never considering the provider might also just fulfill the agreed commitment and say thanks nice meeting you and get on with their day.

    For the pros this is a business, more clients, more money. The provider will make you feel as good as possible, so you return for more sessions and become a regular. That is the goal Post edited - please don’t draw comparisons to activities not allowed on here. - RadiantHugs

  • I know it's hard when your mood is improved and then something happens to set it right back down again. There are so many ways this happens in life so I'm sorry it happened for you here.

    The question is "any thoughts on this?"

    But I'm unclear on which part you're asking about.

    Any thoughts on her communicating that to you?
    Well I need more context. Are you wondering if it wasn't professional? it would depend on how she communicated it. how did it come up? did she just blurt out "hey just so you know, I've got another cuddler right after you" with no provocation or need to share that information? Did you ask for more time and she said no she had another cuddler scheduled in a half hour? Were you talking about hectic and busy schedules and she mentioned having another scheduled? Maybe she could have answered all of these things without specifically mentioning another cuddler, maybe the context made it so that saying she had another cuddler was appropriate. But I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for feedback on and if the mention of another cuddler caused that big a dip in your mood then it is worth looking at the next possible question... ⬇️ Or are you wondering if pro cuddlers should just never mention that they have other clients at all? I don't think that would be the case, but again, it would totally depend on how they mention it.

    Or are you asking our thoughts on your dip in mood?
    I think it makes sense that you would feel something in response to that, but that might be worth looking at for yourself. I think its human nature to consider ourselves kind of the center of what's going on. And with a service like cuddling, where it's someone providing care and attention to you it would be even easier. and to have that bubble burst could definitely be jarring. I'm surprised though that it hasn't happened before now given how long you've been here. But maybe you've been an anomoly and it hasn't Or maybe it has and that's not the part you are looking for feedback on. 🤷‍♀️

    Or are you worried about the practice of how close she had you scheduled? I don't think it's a problem, she might be very good at having her routine down. It doesn't take that long to change bed linens and jump in a shower really quickly. you didn't mention any concerns about hygiene so I'm assuming there were not any. I'm not sure what else the concern would be.

    Or maybe you're looking for thoughts on something else that I haven't covered here.

  • @AL3XGage_06
    Agree and very thoughtful post, thank you.

    I think there has been a lot of useful information and support for OP in this thread but your explanation and example was really spot on.

  • I'm wondering how you've gone this long and seen so many people without this having been an issue for you in past ?

    😁

    @pmvines Lol! 😀
    OP's post does kinda comes off as "I thought I was THE ONLY ONE" who would cuddle with said Cuddle Pro during said day/time frame of said cuddle session. And yes, OP does indeed have a good amount of karma, and plus the length amount of time that he's been active here...That s valid question to ask, perhaps he'll appear with an answer! 👍

  • @Katota

    Yeah we shall see . Either he will respond, or yet more outrage will be sparked and sir @jdev will come after me for not being hello kitty and rainbows

  • I had my air conditioner serviced the other day only to find out the service guy had another appointment right after mine. I feel violated.

    Never bothered me, I just couldn't understand why my beautiful cuddler had complained that they had anotherer one or multiple ones after me... I kept thinking if I made 200 an hour to hold someone id be damn honored! Doubt I could get 25 😆

  • @7gem 😂😂😂. The nerve of that guy.

  • I used to be a pro male cuddler. It was not uncommon for me to have several clients in one day. I never mentioned that to my clients but yes, after each client I scheduled enough time to do a sheet change and shower and get the room setup for the next one. It’s not an uncommon practice.

  • I am a pro, I have been an enthusiast and a
    client, in any of those capacities, this whole concept sounds awful to me. I definitely wouldn't be able be able to trust that someone had changed all the bedding and had a good personal clean all in a couple of hours. Just.. no thanks. To each their own I guess. From a pro"s point of view, I like to be available for my cuddlers emotionally, I can only be open to listening and holding space for one person a day. 😅🤷

  • @Kaybloom Mosey out to Colorado sometime. Lots of cuddlers here.

  • @penguin34 couple hours is more than enough time to switch out to fresh sheets and shower And brush teeth. I don't see how trusting that would be any different than trusting someone who had all day to do that. Or was coming from a day job or night shift etc...

    And yes it can be emotional and energetically exhausting to give someone 110% for a cuddle but the days I do have multiple cuddles I usually take a day or two to recoup afterwards. But you can ask any if my clients ... I am definitely there for them 100% listening and holding space for them during their sessions.

    Personally I think it's a bit strange to get upset over a service provider seeing somebody after you. They didn't sign a contract of exclusivity and you're not dating. Sounds like there is a jealousy type situation. I am empathetic when the situation is reasonable, however this is not reasonable.

  • OP, its perfectly normal to feel the way you do. No one wants to feel like they're just a number and no one wants to feel like they're easily forgotten, which is basically what happens when someone is seeing so many clients every day.

  • I feel violated.

    😆😆😆😆

    @7gem Lol! I felt the same way after my dentist appointment 6 months ago, I am scheduled for another tomorrow...And uh, yeah I will be giving Doc a "no mouth but my mouth ultimatum" for damn sure! 😏😜

    Lol 🤣 😆

  • I have been sitting here reading these comments, and I'm actually pretty shocked. As a pro I would never have imagined that the number of clients I have in a day would make someone question my cleanliness, or whether or not I truly cared. If I found out I was cuddling with someone that was upset about me cuddling with other people, I would see that as a red flag. I would make sure I did not cuddle with that person anymore. For someone to think that we are exclusive cuddle buddies, just because we've cuddled for an hour or so lets me know that that person would eventually become a stalker if we continued to cuddle lol. I think boundaries should be put in place and anyone that is expecting to be the "only one" is probably looking for more than a platonic cuddle session.

  • @Katota Yes, make it exclusive, and get his password for Netflix.

  • I guess having other clients makes some guys feel like cuddle cuckolds.

    😁

    @7gem Lol ! 😆

    My dentist is a SHE, but you are right! 👍

    I'm gonna put my foot down on this here nonsense once and for all with a straight up...

    "Look here now, Missy..." ☝️😌

    Lol! 😆 She won't "bat her eyelashes" outta this one. I'm gonna get "tough" with her! 😜😆

  • @TheFunCartel 😆😆😂

    @Ohio46 said:

    I lost all my oxytocin when she told me she had another cuddle right after me. Any thoughts on this.

    Sure, here's mine. Your oxytocin took a dive because in order to build it up in the first place, you have to at least somewhat convince yourself that you're receiving genuine caring and affection. That's what cuddling is supposed to be all about, right? And the intention behind it matters--it's not just about physical gripping. If you were walking in the woods and suddenly a bear snuck up behind you and grasped you in a bear hug, you wouldn't get an oxytocin spike--you'd be terrified.

    I'm not saying your cuddle pro isn't a caring person--maybe she is, maybe she isn't. I have no way of knowing that--and neither do you. But either way, she wouldn't be cuddling with you if you weren't paying her for it. You want to feel good, so you buy into the illusion. Hearing about upcoming customers drove home the point that, no, this isn't a special thing just for you--it's transactional. You're paying someone to provide a service just like going to the dentist or getting your car fixed or your house cleaned. Illusion shattered.
