Constant last minute cancelations over "extras"

edited July 10 in Pro Cuddling

Obviously its against site policy to offer "extra" services. I believe this makes it so men are less likely to ask immediately causing a lot of time wasting. When talking off the site I outright say I do not offer extras so if you are expecting that, let's move on from this. They proceed to chat and say its ok. Then last minute before the session like and hour or two before they say something like " so you really dont offer extras" and cancel because I do not budge.

Not once have I recieved a cancelation fee. How do you go about dealing with this. Any advice from pros or not pros who are on the other side?

  • wow. First of all I am sorry you have to deal with this. There are other places people can go for 'services.' Both this site, and your profile are very clear on boundaries. I would hope the platform has a way to 'encourage' the payment of last minute cancellation fees. The honor system only works for people with honor. Respect is one of the very things we all need, core and foundational. I love this space specifically because I can find and provide hugs without expectations for more.

If reported, the only thing the site can do is send them a warning. We can suspend the account until proof of payment of the cancellation fee is sent to us and ultimately ban them if they don't pay. But that's all we can do. As pro providers are independent contractors and not Cuddle Comfort employees, the site cannot act as the pro's collection agency.

I know that's not what you were expecting us to do. I'm just putting the info out there, as there are also clients who expect CC to act as their collection agency and get them a refund when they've been scammed. CC cannot and does not mediate payment disputes.

  • If the final request for extras was via text I would certainly hope that sending a screenshot would be enough for a mod to ban them after they were given the chance to pay the cancellation fee. Imo, the goal should be far more to get these creeps off the site than it is to be a collection agency. In this case, especially if the guy had previous cancellations, banning should be automatic, as it shows a pattern.

I hope you report anyone asking for “extras”. Save screenshots if it’s during off-site texting.

  • I personally as for a down payment from any new clients. Not much: $20. However it assured any last minute cancellation is covered on my end regardless of the reasoning. Implemented this because I was literally in front of their hotel. I asked the room number and silence… 😒

  • I'm with @natasya148 I think a deposit or down payment are your best and simplest solution.
