How long did it take

Just curious from others who actually got some cuddle buddies on here: how long did it take to finally find someone? I feel like it’s a long process but worth the wait?

  • I booked a session with the first professional cuddler that I reached out to, met with them a couple days later.

A few weeks later, first time I reached out to a fellow enthusiast, we chatted over messages for like two weeks before meeting up for a drink, then met for a cuddle a couple weeks later.

  • It’s been about a year now and no enthusiast cuddle buddy. Someone posted a while back that it had been years before his first cuddle buddy. It can happen, but don’t let it get you down while you’re waiting.

I’ve met some great people on here. And while I don’t necessarily know many personally, I do feel like I’m a part of a great community!

  • I got insanely lucky, I reached out to an enthusiast nearby, first person I talked to, and ended up meeting her a couple days later. It's been a little over a week and we've gotten to meet up 3 times and they were all great.

The first time it took a month of daily messages with an out of town enthusiast.

It took a year to find a local partner. But once we connected it was quick. We were cuddling within the week. After 2 in person meetups.

It does take time & patience but once you find someone you connect with it feels comfortable. The friendship is invaluable.

  • I just soaked up information my first two or three months on the site, asking questions, reading the message board, and messaging with people. I really wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting into, first.

After that I met up with various people I had gotten to know, attended a group cuddle with a boundaries and consent workshop, and began cuddling.

Travel was definitely a must for me, due to living in a very rural and remote location.

  • I don't know if I have a definite time frame to claim one. But I definitely take my time getting to know to someone. It takes weeks, maybe months to build a connection. Some, are amazing friends. 🥰

This isn't a food thread. Maybe you should start one. Plus your comment was way off topic. Please refer to the thread title and first post.- BlueIris

  • From joining the site until cuddling with my first fellow enthusiast took me 9 months (not for lack of trying, as many on here can relate to). Met my first pro a month after that, and from then on it was definitely easier meeting with both kinds of cuddle buddies, depending on how life was playing out at any given time.

  • I met one really sweet guy after a few months. It is really hard to find other since almost everyone in my area is faceless and no bio that drop in with "Are you free to cuddle tonight", "Let's meetup this weekend for a cuddle" or some other variation. Im not a professional cuddler. Im an enthusiast so it'd be nice if these men would make an effort to fill out their bio, say Hi, how's your day going? And not treat me like a hair appointment or something. It's a shitty feeling having multiple people demand your time and touch but clearly don't respect boundaries and expect you to fill their needs on their time.
Its a safety and logical thing for me. No way will I make plans with someone who pops in saying "Give me cuddles cause you're cute and I need them"
It's unfortunate cause almost all female cuddlers nearby are listed as professionals, but paying for cuddles feels wrong to me so I won't.

  • @DLake Or even worse, "I'll be in your area tonight how about an overnight cuddle". And get angry when you want to meet in public first.

So far I've only cuddled one man from this site, and it was someone I met at a meet & greet. Sadly, my area is sparsely populated to begin with, and I don't travel so well these days.

  • No way will I make plans with someone who pops in saying "Give me cuddles cause you're cute

    😆👍

@DLake Lol! 😆 Until you say NO, then you are no longer "cute and cuddly" anymore. Same way here, my life doesn't revolve around the entitlement of Dudebros. Right on! 👍

  • I admit, I am taking my time on here because I've yet to find the opportunity and money more or less to meet up with a cuddle buddy around my local area. I do see my chances being higher with a pro but I'm too broke to book a pro on a consistent or even occasional basis and enthusiasts are not as common and probably even more rare to successfully book so I haven't even bothered going the enthusiast route.

I live in NYC so I figure my chances are relatively high, I just gotta get my foot on the starting line and have a fair amount of money to sustain for a couple of hours.

@IronicMaiden omg yes. I recently had someone that is traveling to my city try and book me like a hair appointment and then got mad and said I have a problem. 🤣 they don't like boundaries and try and blame us.

@Katota the number of Dudebros in my area is exhausting. No pic, no bio, asking for cuddles without even a hello and then whining when I say no. I value my peace and will just block each one

  • I’m new here and still getting to know people, which I actually love. I’m a big believer in building real connection first, there’s something special about taking time to genuinely know someone before cuddling. That pacing feels right to me, especially given how vulnerable it can be.
