Who are some bands or singers you consider one hit wonders? Who are some bands or singers that are often referred to as one hit wonders who you don’t think are one hit wonders. Who are some bands or singers who are not considered one hit wonders who you think are one hit wonders?

    Night Ranger had several top 40 hits and are not considered a one hit wonder but other than Sister Christian, did they really have any good songs?

    Good is subjective. I mean being in the top 40 means it is popular but it doesn’t mean it’s good.

    To give a different analogy—polyester leisure suits were popular in the 1970s but were they good?

    I love so many songs by bands that never saw the light of day—that doesn’t make them bad.

    Sorry. I did the opposite of the instructions on original post. Dyslexia. I'm fixing it now. Oops it's both instructions. Let me think about it REO is not a one hit wonder. I can't fight this feeling anymore got a lot of airplay but they also have take it on the run... And keep on loving you

    I don't consider them a 1-hit wonder as they were one of the first "real" bands I became a fan of as a young adult and so know all their music 😅 but most people only know one song of theirs:

    Dishwalla - Counting Blue Cars

    It's one of those songs people don't know the name of, but if they were old enough in the 90s/early 00s they'll absolutely recognize it.

    This song for sure. For the longest time I thought this was some late 90s band like matchbox 20 when it first came out. Turned out to be some group I have never heard of.

    Sixto Rodriguez never had a hit recording but Sugarman and I Wonder were good enough had he not pissed off every studio. Cold Fact was a really good album.

    Spin doctors may be considered two hit wonder. Two princes as well as Little Miss Can't be Wrong. If there's any female narcissist or control freak you ever had to deal with for a consistent amount of time 'Little Miss Can't Be Wrong' is a wonderful anthem

    We are young by fun. Literally heard at every school dance during my sophomore year and every radio station guaranteed at least twice a weak. Someone in my school even said they'd be the next nirvana. Never heard from them after 2013........

    @Velvet_Heart falco has a version of der komissar as well, not sure which one is the cover since they came out pretty close to around the same time.
