I'm moving to Wilmington on Thursday. I'm so excited to be near the beach and meet new people. If anyone has any suggestions of things I should check out please let me know.
Hi @MsCinderella ! I loved visiting Wilmington when I lived out in the Carolinas. There are a lot of great beaches three, but if you're willing to do a day trip with a bit of a drive, about 1.5 hrs north at the southern end of the Outer Banks in Swansboro is Hammock Beach State Park. It is by far my favorite beach I have ever been to. Isolated, clean, beautiful, surrounded by lots of different environments & animals. It's not super accessible - you have to take a boat or ferry about 20 minutes out to the island, and then have to walk through the dunes, but for me it was so worth it. There's limited facilities, especially during the off-season, but it can be an amazing day trip.
