We had metal Slinky, and we still couldn't get it no further than ONE STEP
My best friend and I built a robot from an Erector set (metal version of Tinker Toys essentially) when we were kids and then attached a Slinky to it and showed his super religious mother. She asked what it was and I said a Slinky Winky. Thus started a smear campaign against me of how I was an incorrigible pervert. I went on to be a successful adult while her God-fearing son went to jail for bank fraud. So I guess the Slinky winky corrupted him after all.
