So like a lot of people on this site I'll occasionally look at the new members of the site that appears on my home page, though I especially look out for people who live quite local to me rather than pay full attention to everyone, as frankly I love meeting new people that live (sort of) close to me and I'm not someone who tends to chat much to people who aren't so local. What often catches me though is places that have the same names as other places; obviously when you go on someone's profile, say for example they're from London in the UK, it'll say something along the lines of "London, England", but on the home page it'll just say "London", and that's just one of many places in the UK where another place exists in the US or wherever that has the same name. I've lost count of how many times I've seen someone new who I think lives nearby, I'm about to read through their profile only to find that they're not actually local.
No big deal of course, I guess it's a bit of a laugh when you look back and no one gets hurt but I'm just curious to know if anyone else experiences that too, if they similarly from time to time see someone on the home page who's new that they think is local but actually isn't?
