How does go about finding a cuddle party? Does anyone know?
Here are a few ideas that worked for me in Los Angeles:
1) Check this website and search your city: cuddleparty.com 2) Check on meetup.com 3) Google "cuddle party + your city"
I went to my first one this past week and had a fabulous experience. Best of luck!
Thank you @Kendrid I will look into it. Any advice or things to expect?
I've only been to one, so I'm no expert. At mine, the first hour was a greeting circle, review of rules and some paired exercises in saying yes and no so that you are comfortable declining offers gracefully. But everyone there was really kind and respectful and we had 2 hours of freestyle cuddling after that. I was lucky to really hit it off with my first partner and had 40 minutes of pure cuddle bliss. The others were OK, but not exceptional. So I would say to be sure and don't spend too much time with one person so that you can see where the cuddle chemistry is best, and then go back for more time there. Also, don't be shy to say "no" in a kind way or cut something short with "thank you, I'm going to explore the room more now". The 2 hour freestyle time goes by fast, so make the most of it. Good luck and happy cuddling!
Eventbrite also has them listed.
What @Kendrid describes is the typical format of a cuddle party. I've been to five; they were all run the same way. Latecomers are not allowed in. Everyone must be there to hear the rules, and if you missed that part, you would not be admitted.
I figured out after about the fourth one that it's a really good idea to bring "business" cards with your contact information in case you meet someone you'd like to contact later.
Cuddle parties are a great way to meet people! I love them!
