Cuddle Requests
Hi was hoping to get some insight if possible. My profile states that I'm only interested in cuddling with women yet I have only received offers from men. Why is that?? Any insight would be helpful..
Thanks!

Maybe some people don't take the time to read the full profile? I put either a man or woman and have only been contacted by men. I had a couple cuddle buddies who were men, they were great. I just think there are less women on this site, probably because women are more nervous about meeting new people they met online. Some of those women will only cuddle with men. Plus, men are so used to being the ones to make offers and women are more used to receiving them. I figured if I ever really wanted a female cuddly buddy, I might need to be the one to make contact.

I believe one major reason is a search issue. If a man was searching using the 'Either' drop-down option, the results were including women that had actually set their profile to only cuddle women.
While 'Either' is an important option in your profile, there doesn't seem to be a need for it to be a search field. So that's now removed which should hopefully help.
Thanks for reporting this.

It looks like you fixed an important issue with the "Man"/"Woman" fields in doing that. If I recall correctly, previously selecting "Woman" would not return any results who will cuddle "Either".
However, in deleting the field, I believe you have introduced a new issue. I had my search set to "Either" and now it defaults to "Woman" (the now furthest-down option in the list), so unless I notice that and correct it, I'm now getting only results that said they'd cuddle "Woman" or "Either". (EDIT: I changed it to "Man" of course, but the point is that a lot of people aren't going to notice that right away.)
To fix this for now, why not do an update query on the database that sets the "They cuddle" search memory option to the person's actual gender on anyone who last had "They cuddle" set to either? Still let them search as they please, but if their last search for was either, it would be reflected as their current gender instead. (EDIT2: Some people have almost certainly run searches since then, and many may have not noticed. Re-running a search I believe will update the search memory fields in the database, so if you want to affect these people too, you might just run an update on every user)

Yes, that was indeed an important issue to fix. It's a shame we didn't get any reports about it until this topic.
And yes, good point about the database query - that's done.
