Trapped on a business trip where I just finished reading my last book, and there are no active cuddler (Duluth!). However shall I get to sleep???

I like finding short stories and books using Wattpad they are free and have so many genre . I started first with ones that had most votes but have read some great stories by others who are more beginner writers .
What are your favorite genre of books ?

Anything with a little humor, quirky characters and a bit of insight to make them enjoyable and reflect the lightness of life. Not into wrist-slitting emotional dramas, claustrophobic introspections, or sordid histories.

@Marc_Pilgrim - Have you ever read anything by Davis Sedaris? He is definitely quirky, but he can be deep and fully experienced in this journey that we call life.
A lot of his writing consists of stories that you can peruse as you choose.

Theft by Finding: Diaries 1977-2002. I haven't read it yet, but probably will at some point.
I tend to read mysteries and crime novels though I’m enjoying a series that is set in zombie apocalypse but it’s mistky about the survivors and their relationships etc . This author also did a great dragon story with a sci-fi twist .

Catch 22 was on your high school reading list for a reason.
I liked Every Heart a Doorway, by Seanan McGuire: it's a very quick read, with fun (and definitely unique) characters, and the kind of premise that makes you think for a while afterward. "I wonder what a world perfect for me would look like?"
Hue 1968, I just finished it and loved it.
I'd expect any book by Matthew Quick would meet your stated criteria, including The Silver Linings Playbook; The Good Luck of Right Now; Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock; etc.
I've been reading the Jane Austin books lately. I've read a great deal of them but there were some more obscure ones that I had never read. So I am trying to catch up on reading her lesser known novels.
