Pro cuddler Intel requests

[Deleted User]jbmn11 (deleted user)

I just got a request for insights into a pro cuddler I've seen. Between the profile, karma, and correspondence, why would anyone need "the inside scoop"? It feels creepy to me. I intend to see the cuddler again and respect her. She's capable of handling herself. But I'd welcome people's thoughts on what to do: just let it work itself out without getting involved, tell her someone has been asking around about her without naming names, tell her who's been asking about her, or am I making too much of this and I should just give the guy the Intel. Normally I'd just let it work itself out, but it just feels weird. Thanks.

  • I'd stay out of it and let the guy contact her himself. If it feels creepy to you, don't do it. Don't say anything to the pro. I hate it when people tell me half of something and not the whole thing. No point to it.

  • Personally, I don't see any problem with it if they are just asking you directly for your opinion. Sometimes people aren't completely honest in karma. I have messaged people who have cuddled with someone inquiring with me in the past before. I don't always do it, but I was specifically doing it in the beginning when I was brand new and a lot more cautious.

  • Somebody contacted me once who I didn't know from a bar of soap to say they noticed someone was on my friends list and they were thinking about tryin to meet up with them, and asked if I had cuddled them and what I could tell them about the person. They were not a paid cuddler either mind you. I just didn't respond, I thought it was a bit inappropriate and as I consider myself to be a fairly private person except for with those of whom I choose to not be private, I would consider that sort of thing to be a breech of my trust.

  • Interesting to hear the other perspective. When I have done it, I was basically just confirming a recommendation. Something like "I was just wondering how the cuddle went and whether you had any concerns" or something. We're all just trying to be safe, and karma isn't always accurate. But wording could affect how it comes across, and to what level of detail the person asks for. I was more asking if the person felt safe as opposed to anything directly about the person they cuddled with.

  • @ubergigglefritz I hear ya, and I can def understand why you and your cohorts would want to ask about the potential clients. I cant blame you all for that one bit. I was just put off when the person didn't even know whether I really knew this person, the person wasn't a paid cuddler, and was asking me for details. Didn't feel right to me at all.

  • No. "Intel" is internet slang for wanting her sexual details. Ignore him, and warn her.

  • @cuddlyWA Perfect response

@cuddlyWA and @softandlovely I'm not sure everybody knows the word "intel" is internet slang for sexual details. I myself didn't know that until I read it here just now.

It has already been pointed out that pros sometimes ask other pros about clients they have seen. They make these requests for "intelligence" (I won't say "intel" any more, LOL) presumably because they are concerned profiles and karma might not necessarily tell the whole story. I know a couple of new pros who asked one or more my regulars about me before booking, despite me having a fleshed-out profile and a substantial amount of good reviews. I wasn't creeped out upon learning they had done this.

Clients sometimes do the same thing among themselves, and for the same reasons. I've fielded such questions, and asked a few of my own. The questions I've asked and answered definitely did not have a sexual subtext. So one has to evaluate these cases one at a time based on a preponderance of the evidence. If OP's gut tells him the guy had ill intent, then he should definitely give the pro a heads-up.

  • Guys contact me all the time regarding pros. I don’t find it creepy at all. I have asked other clients about pros as well. My only issue are the guys who come to me because they are looking blatantly looking for extras. That bothers me immensely.

  • My first thought on hearing that someone is looking for "intel" on someone you've cuddled with is that they really want to know if any additional services were rendered. But maybe the internet has just made me jaded.

  • I can see where someone can mean it as something innocent and taken out of context. Once I went out of town to visit a friend and I had told someone who knew to keep it on the down low, simply cus I didn't want other people to expect me to visit them as well and then have hurt feelings, like well if you are going to see her, im the same distance, why don't you come see me too, bla bla etc etc... So the person I said this to makes a big stink saying how disturbing that was and that I had some type of hidden agenda and was after her for sex or something or the other, simply for using the term on the down low. So I can see how certain terms can mean something innocent but taken out of context, however I do feel that when someone uses the term intel in regards to this particular situation they may be trying to find out what boundaries might be able to be pushed etc.

  • It's all about communication :)

  • A member recently messaged me and said he was going to be in LA for a few days from out of town and wanted to know who I recommended the most. I see no harm in that at all.

  • I’ll give my opinion as a pro. If someone were to contact someone else who I cuddled with for info on me like did I make them feel comfortable and if I’m genuine or not then I’m totally ok if they want to answer and give feedback on me. If they are comfortable of course. If that person asking about me was giving my cuddle buddy a bad vibe or blantently asking them sexual questions about me then I would hope my cuddle buddy would warn me so I don’t get into an unsafe situation with that person.
