Cuddling capacity

edited May 2018 in General

I was thinking of having two cuddles on the same day next week (to save booking two separate hotels while I can't host).

I was wondering what people's capacity for cuddling is -- do you ever feel "cuddled out"? Or is there no limit to your cuddling?

  • Haven't hit my max yet. ;-)

I sometimes book more than one cuddle when on a road trip just in case of last-minute cancellations or no-shows. That tactic has spared me disappointment more than once. And on the occasions when everybody showed up on the agreed day ... well, double the fun. Only caveat is I wouldn't want the sessions to be back-to-back or too close together.

  • Yes. I value my space and alone time, biggest reason why I am single.

  • @pmvines like you, I value my space and alone time, almost too much. I’ve been single since the beginning of time. My longest relationship was something like 14 months, and we lived about 15 miles apart from one another. I have a decent network of friends and family, but I wonder about the pathology of being closer to my dogs than I am to any human.

  • @mickcuddle I saw a bumper sticker that read the more I am around people the more I love my dog , or something to that extent. I don't believe it's an anomaly to like human connection but to still crave your space . This may be a cuddle site , but we all have our own varying degrees of interests and personalities. Cuddling and being a loner do not have to be mutually exclusive .

  • I am a homebody and have an introverted side, yet I love providing people cuddles :-) If there is a lot of talking and face to face interaction, I start getting tired after only a few hours. I can go longer if there are breaks with no talking and not looking face to face. I think I will be good for a second session if I get an hour or two to myself between :-)

  • Interesting! Like @pmvines and @mickcuddle, I value my alone time. I need it to survive. Nothing compares to alone time for me.
@ubergigglefritz , I like that username by the way, I cannot handle too much socializing. It's exhausting to in introvert personality. Even if it's family, I need my alone time.
I'm glad to know there are more people like me out there. :)

  • I've had two in one day, I think that would be my max, they were 3 hours and 5 hours, pretty much a full day, I think time in between helps process all the all that was discussed, reflect on each, absorb all the good stuff.

  • I think it depends on if you know the people and your comfort level with them. I have anxiety issues and so the lead up and beginning of a session can be highly draining for me when it's a new client. So more than two or three would be very tiring for me. But if they were people I had already seen and meshed well with I would be plenty happy to stack em all up ?

41 hours of nearly constant cuddling in 2015 felt like nearly too much for me. I wanted to get up but my partner at that time just needed all that. Two weeks later we were in my bed nearly constantly for 27 hours, which was a more comfortable duration but I still wouldn't wanna do it again.

Really depends what time it is. If it's dark outside and we're trying to sleep it's OK if we're laying against each other. But if it's day time let's get up and do something else for 20 minutes out of at least every 2-3 hours.

  • Honestly? Never. I've never felt cuddled out in my life, I really do always welcome positive, close human interaction--but that said, I do enjoy having space at times, too... so I'm sure I have some kind of limit, I've just never met anyone on this earth who could find it simply by cuddling. :p By being unpleasant or displaying poor behavior, sure, but not with innocent affection.
