The importance of touch therapy and true cuddling

edited May 2018 in General

we all have and live different lifes . people dont know us . we generally dont let them in . so we get judge all our lifes sometimes even by our own families. we get taken for granted. we live in a world of many takers but not enough givers. i took 5 duaghters 2 not my own . i poured my life into them . sacrifice totally for them to be there for them thru kinder garden and college. paid for all services. but i had and lived a loveless marriage and a sexless marriage by choice. it just worked out that way because she was previously married and couldnt get over the abuse of her ex. and never gave me a chance to prove to her i was different. so now my daughters are grown and gone and very successful and most i found careers out of state. so it left me with tremendous voids of loneliness, emptyness and sort of a non purpose driven life anymore. yet i know so much and can help so many. so cuddling therapy was new and it went beyond JUST VENTILLATING TO COUNSELORS . which i did for 30 years at 25$ an hour but my insurance paid the other 175. now cuddlers they started to be more of an extension of just talk but the real CUDDLING ALL MEN OR WOMEN NEED IN THIER LIFES. when a cuddler is willing to sacrifce a part of them to not pleasure others but to really connect to others . that is SPECIAL . i learned how to love and be loved and feel love and appreciated and i learn how to feel intimate without sex: and thats all i needed in my life :

  • Wow more power to you to survive in a marriage like that.

  • What is remarkable to me is that stories like the one above (people living in sexless and loveless marriages) are becoming more and more common, some even make it into mainstream media and are analyzed by experts and people who offer their opinion on the subject and share their own experiences which tend to be similar if not exact. I wonder if it’s a sign of the times or just that nowadays it is easier to share these kind of stories and reach a larger audience because of social media and the internet.

  • @woundedwarrior
I relate to being in a similar situation, similar life, and the need for touch therapy and true cuddling, and intimacy in our lives. Being nurturing and giving, and a fixer by nature without self care is unbalanced; to be healthy everyone needs to be validated and hugged, and a huge dose of cuddle therapy, with gentle touch
heal wounded warrior, you should be proud of your efforts, your family's growth and sucesses. its a testament of your character.

  • thank you so much for sharing that. im glad you were able to find something positively beneficial from cuddling! i agree, it does take that extra step than just talking to a counselor.
