100 dollars an hour to cuddle? Where do I sign up?

edited August 2018 in Pro Cuddling

That's like a quarter of what I make in 2 weeks at my job.

You don't want to get into this just for money. You will end up hurting yourself or someone else. Learned from experience that the best way to get into this is to do your research first, and by research, don't just read Buzzfeed articles on cuddling and platonic touch. Actually look into the literature, read about other professional cuddlers, or attend your local Cuddle Party if you have one so you can get a feel at what this will be like... I might be coming off harsh but please get into this for the right reason other than it pays more than your job. The demand might not even be there where you live.

Let's be honest a good amount of people here are for money or appearance

  • @czw321 I humbly disagree. CuddleComfort attracts a different crowd in general compared to other sites like CuddleUp.com where your statement actually does in fact ring true. I'm not sure why you feel that way or made that observation but there are certainly people here who are genuine and actually want to do this for reasons beyond the cash.

If I relied on this to pay my bills, I'd have quit 2 years ago and would have been evicted from my place by now. Do not generalise pros.

I can't speak for you because you're in Canada. I'll admit some of the cuddlers outside of Florida seem cool. I say this because most girls I've cuddled with have admitted they do this for money. Most of the ones I've asked to hang out without money involved usually are unavailable except for a few rare occasions

  • I agree with @czw321, I was offered happy ending at least by two. I am not judging them, they were really polite in what they were offering. They didn't force it or sell themselves either. But I believe this site is not for that. Backpage/Craigslist would suit them better.

  • If I didn't have bills, I would do this for free, but of course I need the money, so I do it "for the money" as you put it, but that's not the reason I'm here. The reason I'm here is because I love providing this service and helping and connecting with people. If I just wanted to get money the easiest way possible, I would have kept my last job, but I want more purpose in my life. Entrepreneur spirits will not be shackled in a cube :-P Most people who come here thinking this will be easy money don't last long. My actual hourly rate is WAY less than my listed rate. If you go in thinking that's what you will make, you will be greatly disappointed.

  • @czw321 That is a pretty typical trope for the ones only in it for financial gain, but then again they also know that it's often best to separate business from personal. You also have to get that sometimes people have preferences as to who they'd hang out with and this doesn't always come down to "I don't want to see you if I'm not getting paid".

There are a number of reasons someone legit would do that as well. I have had to limit outside contact from people who were clearly just trying to buy a relationship off me, but I've also had times where I find myself in the neighbourhood of another client when I'm walking around somewhere and I think, "I wonder if it would be weird for me to pop over to anon's house just to visit and have tea or something".

I typically don't do this, as I have to respect not only my own boundaries, but the client's as well. And when I told this particular client about that, yes, it turns out he would have put on a pot of tea. :)

  • Do you expect your masseuse or your doctor to hang out with you for free? I'm not trying to be rude if I can't hang out with you for free, I just don't have unlimited time to give out to everyone. I'm not a slave to the timer when I see you, and I offer plenty of opportunities for free hours, but I can't hang out with all my clients for free whenever they want. I need time to take care of administrative tasks and other work related to the business, I need time to take care of myself (I have my introverted side, so need quiet time alone so my battery is all charged up for clients), etc. Again, do you expect this from any other person you pay for services from? Just because money is required, that doesn't mean the person isn't authentic, genuine, and truly cares about you beyond the money. It's just the way of the world that we need money to pay bills. If I didn't do this for money, I would have another job, and I would only have time for one cuddle buddy. I would rather be able to help everyone than only be able to pick one to help...

Honestly it's not about hanging out when I want to. It's about hanging out when possible. Saying something like that makes you seem like you're not genuine at all

The premis here is for contractual, platonic cuddles.
Just because there is a subset of "pro"s may be here, offering "other" services, doesn't give anyone permission to apply that label across the board. That's just a whiny, selfish form of prejudice.
Treat people as people. Treat this board as a collection of people that support the premis of the site.

  • I'm sorry you feel that makes me seem not genuine. Most of my clients travel hours for our sessions, because of my being genuine, and without any "happy endings" to lure them. So I imagine they would disagree with you. Honestly, expecting any type of professional to offer significant amounts of their time for free feels disrespectful to me. The type of service provided shouldn't change that. I don't charge for conversation between sessions, or for chat or dinner time before/after sessions, and offer different ways to get free hours. I do what I can. All my clients are treated equally, and I for sure cannot provide free social time to each person individually :-( It just isn't feasible...

  • [Deleted User]czw321 (deleted user)

See bragging like that makes you seem not genuine. And happy endings? I never mentioned happy endings. The thing is some girls have offered or said yes when I ask to hang outside of a session. Sometimes they do, but some go back on what they said. Now I will say maybe I get attracted, but to assume I expect a girlfriend or sex without paying from here is just flat out ridiculous

  • Just trying to defend myself from you saying I don't seem genuine O:-) I don't like bragging either, and won't without a reason to, such as defending myself from someone attacking myself or pros in general...

@czw321 Whoa, you are completely blowing what @ubergigglefritz said out of proportion. How is she at all bragging, and how is she not being genuine? That's HER boundary to set whether she wants to engage with clients outside paid time or not. To hate on professionals who don't agree to do things the way you want, that, my friend, is not genuine and just makes you seem bitter.

No one here assumed you want to weasel your way into getting a free girlfriend on this site. Nobody brought up getting attracted to cuddlers. Where are you reading this? We're sharing our experiences and trying to explain to you that this is typically the nature of the business. If you don't like the way a certain pro does business, move onto another one.

Or go elsewere, since you seem to have a blanketed and poisoned view of the professionals here.

  • Rates are different for everybody. I know some folks charge less and some charge more. Some folks who do it already have their jobs that they do “for the money” but then do this in addition because they genuinely enjoy it. Otherwise, there’s other ways to make money that’s as easy, if not easier.

    trolling alert

  • [Deleted User]czw321 (deleted user)

Maybe you're right. My apologies I will say at times this seems like a pg version of something else. It sucks getting false promises if I'm being honest

  • @czw321 Seriously? "False promises"? Of what? Just because other unsavory people in your area are portraying it that way doesn't make it so. You clearly don't understand the premise of what this is all about, so I'm going to go ahead and flag your comment because you are dropping too many red flags as it is and it's not something we need in here. In the future, you might consider getting your "PG version of something else" on another site.

  • [Deleted User]czw321 (deleted user)

What I mean is sometimes people say hey let's hang out and never do

  • [Deleted User]galowglass (deleted user)

Let's look backwards in the thread. Oh! There it is. I didn't have to look far... "Let's be honest a good amount of people here are for money or appearance"

Which one are you here for? I'm here for cuddles.

  • [Deleted User]czw321 (deleted user)

Well in my experience most non pros won't reply. And I've only had one time or two times where I spent time with a cuddler for free. We literally just went to the mall for a walk. And I offered to buy her a shirt

  • @czw321 just because somebody doesnt want to hang out with you doesnt make them insincere. I wouldnt be mad if after a massage or pedicure, or a spring clean or haircut, they didnt want to hang out after . Nor would i ask nor expect it. I also would not assume they arent genuine for getting paid, that is absurd. You are confusing paying a service provider for a service with a friendship, however the scope and context of your relationship with a service provider is typically going to be a client based one, not personal. It is not fair to attack and blame them for the chip that is on your shoulder . They are not responsibke for your happiness.

Also interesting that you block folks for not telling you what you want to hear...a difference of opinion can go a long way in gaining perspective. Nobody is being mean or hateful to you

  • [Deleted User]czw321 (deleted user)

Also interesting you bump a thread 5 hours later

  • Honestly i would cuddle for free but and its a rather HUGE but . .. I would go about it differently and I feel I would be waaaaaaaaaaay pickier. My two cents

  • I didn’t read every single comment but has anyone mentioned that the original poster is a male who lists himself as straight. I hope someone tells me that if he decided to be a pro, he won’t get much work and his clients will be men, not women.

If someone out there want to meet their pro cuddler “ off the clock” or for free, or call it what you want , Send them the invitation.
    Nothing ventured , nothing gained

Suggestions: an event ... xmas party ...etc

  • @ubergigglefritz
“My actual hourly rate is WAY less than my listed rate. If you go in thinking that's what you will make, you will be greatly disappointed. “

When there is a connection between you and your cuddlee you would want to cuddle with someone you not only enjoy as a person but that you connect with which is why we adjust our prices accordingly. .

  • I do not adjust my price according to the person. Everyone is treated equally. The only thing that varies is when I enforce a price increase to an existing client. But that won't be an issue moving forward, as I don't plan on going above where I'm at, unless I just raise my weekend prices for increased demand and decreased availability. Any discount is applied to an entire population of people. There is no judgement call to determine what price you pay.
