Is there a shortage of pro cuddlers or clients?

edited August 2018 in Pro Cuddling

Seems like there are only a few pro cuddlers in big cities around the country that have karmas and seem to be active. My question is there a shortage of pro cuddlers or is the shortage because there aren't many people looking for pro cuddlers?

  • Both. Most areas have limited pro options, if any, it seems. There are lots of people seeking a pro who can't find one. The problem is those people are all spread out. There are lots of people in need who I would love to cuddle, but who are simply too far. So if you look in one area, clients are also often limited for a potential pro. I need to use multiple sites and still can't find enough market. Many people still don't know this exists. I have my own website, ordered business cards, and am going to have to do a lot of my own marketing to educate and locate people in need. It's a growing movement and industry, so it's going to take a lot of time and effort to improve the situation for both sides...

You explain it so clearly and know I kind of understand I think. So as a pro cuddler you have trouble getting clients and me as a client I have trouble finding a pro cuddler. It is a wonderful movement and for a lot of people what ever there reason is for seeing a pro cuddler once you see a good one it's the most amazing experience to cuddle in a safe space without any pressure. The word as to get out there we need more professional cuddlers and clients.

I can definitely comment on this, as the movement exists in my city, and there are Cuddle Parties where the community is tight-knit. Because I am not of the "alternative" crowd, though, I don't typically fit in with them. Also, I'm socially awkward to the extreme and large gatherings scare me.

As far as hunting for clients, it is hard in Alberta where the sex industry dominates, and where hobbyists are infiltrating CuddleComfort and websites like it, giving the movement a bad name. The best client hub can be found in CAPC, the Canadian Association Of Professional Cuddlers. I intend to join them and take advantage of their training and advertising, but I would rather further solidify my presence in the broader community first.

So, in my area, it is particularly hard to find honest clients if you are marketing enough (I have taken a looooong break from active advertising since Craigslist etc closed its doors). I have probably interacted with thousands of people over the last almost 2 years I've been doing this, and have maybe only had anywhere from 100-200 individual sessions during this time. A lot of the time, I get people who only see me once. They are just curious about this because they have done some reading, or they are undercover johns and expect it to be covert prostitution (but they won't act on anything unless they are proven right, which they're not).

I have about 20 regular clients I see monthly or throughout the year, and this pretty much speaks for itself what the demand is like in a city of about 1 million with an active sex industry for competition.

  • @ubergigglefritz - I’ve considered getting business cards as well, but wondered how I could best direct someone straight to my CC profile (an email address, such as __________@cuddlecomfort.com would be ideal).
I’d like to be able to put contact info on a business card to begin communications here, rather than speaking with potential clients via text, Skype or phone. Any ideas?

@BellaJewel There is one idea. While you cannot have an off-site email, you can link to your page like this: https://www.cuddlecomfort.com/BellaJewel

You can set your account to allow public visits (those without accounts) if that is okay with you. Otherwise, visitors would need an account to view your page. And regardless, they would need an account to contact you through the site.

  • @SoulcuddlerZ - Hey! That’s great! I had no idea we had the ability to do that—that’s fabulous! I will use this method to direct potential clients to my profile.
