Taking A Break Mid-Session

Hello,
I've never cuddled with a pro but am hoping to do so soon. I'm pretty sure most pros are fine if I get overwhelmed at any point and need to take a breather (walk, ground, etc). I'm just curious if anyone has needed to "break" for any reason mid-cuddle?

How long are you planning to have the session? I have taken bio breaks during sessions.
It should be fine with anyone if you take a break

Any decent, pro cuddler will respect your boundries, including your changing comfort zone. You won't have to explain yourself. A pro I've met wouldn't blink if your mood flipped you like a light switch. They would go-with-the-flow. Words though, are your friend and you might find it helpful to state you're "taking-a-breather", or whatever.

  • I personally get a litttle stir crazy, have trouble being still . After a while of doing anything i have to break it up a little. Plus i will feel hot and claustraphobic after a while. Most people would be understanding of this, cant imagine it being a problem. I sugfest talking to the person and maybe having a planned break, and working in something like a snack or checking media or stretching or something else to shift the energy and focus for a few

  • Hi,
Yes, as a pro cuddler I've had clients who have needed a break mid-session, and this is perfectly fine. This has happened with varying lengths of sessions, even 1 hour ones.
Communication and self-awareness are awesome, and it seems like you have a pretty good handle on both.
I wish you a wonderful cuddle session and many more to follow!

  • I think as a pro I’ve only had one client so far who needed a bathroom break during the session. I always suggest they go before we start. Then they can also see the goodies I leave in my bathroom for them... toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss, and spray deodorant. I even have men’s body wash and disposable men’s razors. Some of my clients have asked to take a shower because maybe they’ve just come from work or they’ve been traveling for a few hours.

After that and they’re comfortable, I’ll start the timer but I usually add at least five minutes or so to the timer for reasons such as breaks.

In any session, breaks come naturally. Of course, you might be less likely to need a break if the session is short, such as for just one or two hours. But even changing positions - which for me is frequent in a session - is really like taking a mini break.

With one pro cuddler from Cuddle Comfort we stopped in the middle to have lunch (prepared by her but with food and tools provided by me). She didn't even count the lunch break in the cuddle time. But that was a longer session time.

One recent session for me included getting a drink at a tea store, cuddling in a movie theatre while watching a movie, sitting on the grass of a nearby park to cuddle, and just walking from here to there while holding hands and putting our arms around each other. A number of "breaks" were included in the "session". A separate session with the same pro cuddler was simply a few hours of straight cuddling in a park (to save time and money instead of getting a hotel). Just one bathroom break was all.

  • This is pretty common! As a pro, I've come across my share of cuddlers who wanted to take a breather in between. They either wanted to stretch, or breathe some fresh air mid-session. This goes for all varying lengths, from one hour to four even.

  • Thanks everyone for your input, it is very helpful!
