Host or Guest?

I’m looking into renting a small space so that I can host clients. I know I’ve had a lot of potential clients who I couldn’t take because I don’t host. I’m weighing the cost of renting a space vs. the potential to take more clients.

As a client, what’s your preference?

Any pros have an idea of how this affects your business (gut feelings welcome)?

    I much prefer to have the pro host, especially for a first session. After I get to know her a bit and mutual comfort/trust is established, I'm willing to host occasionally. Off the top of my head, I can think of eleven local pros that I have seen from this site. Only in two cases was the first session at my place. On the other hand, when I travel, I prefer to stay in my hotel and host whenever I can.

    I prefer the pro to host. Everything is taken-care-of. The pro is in their comfort zone and presumably is more safe on their own territory. It makes things, like more of an oasis I can visit. The process and the mental processing required for me to host would entirely negate the benefit of cuddling.

    I wish the poll had an option for "I am a professional" so I could see the results without messing up your results =(

    But personally, virtually all of my clients come here at the moment. When I am traveling, I don't host for obvious reasons. I have HAD people get a hotel in town (I live in a rural area) and I had one client I went to his house, but right now it's all here in my home. If that helps.

    Interesting findings! When I first started I only went to see folks at their place. always thought they would prefer it until I offered my place to host.
