Safety during overnight session

How to ensure safety during an overnight session? Especially when you and the pro are new and it's your first meeting. You are going to sleep at sometime. How do you make sure both of you are safe

  • Personally, I never do an overnight for a first meeting. Overnights require a level of trust that needs time to develop. I'd want to know who they are IRL and have a firm sense of their personality and circumstances. Even with all that stipulated, I think I'd develop a case of buyer's remorse after paying for cuddle time that I could not enjoy (because I was asleep for several hours of it.) That's why I've only ever had one overnight session, and that was with an enthusiast cuddler I'd corresponded with for months, and developed an actual friendship before we ever met. We did an overnight because it was a logistical necessity; we lived hundreds of miles apart and each drove several hours to a hotel partway between us.

I probably won't do another one. There is really no way to "ensure safety" while being unconscious in the presence of a stranger. Then again, everything in life involves risk, so if you're both into it --- go for it.

Thank you @quietman775 . You are right. This is not the right thing to do, especially when you don't know the person. That was good advice

    Safe from what ?
My standard overnight setup which guest cuddlers have liked , is two beds are prepared. The cuddling is done on the pullout sofa bed in my living room , and anytime the guest cuddler feels like , they can retreat to the master bedroom with the private bath , and have privacy, and I use the hall bath .
It’s not necessary for me , to cling to the other cuddle partner all night.

  • @cuddlerforu24 I like the setup you have at home. But many overnights take place in hotel rooms or apartments that only have one bed and one bath. So the cuddle pro can't retreat to her own space like she can at your place. But for the client, the issue is less one of personal/physical privacy and security and more about safety of his stuff. His primary risk during an overnight is theft.

For example, while he falls soundly asleep on the hotel bed, she quietly gets up, puts on her street clothes, and lets herself out --- after helping herself to his wallet, phone, and laptop. Or, if the location is his home instead of a hotel, she goes through the medicine cabinet and stuffs her purse with prescription narcotics before lifting his phone and the cash from his wallet. All while he's blissfully snoring.

A more dangerous version of the above has her texting her location to a couple of male accomplices who are waiting nearby. She opens the door to two beefy thugs who assault you, rob you, and force you to drive them to various ATMS to withdraw cash. Or maybe she just surveys your house for valuables, and transmits the information to her accomplishes after your session is over. That way she's not there for the subsequent home invasion, and she avoids suspicion.

We've all read about things like this happening to people who met someone on CL or wherever. Are they likely to happen here? No, not very. But OP wrote that he wanted to "ensure safety" for both parties. I maintain there is no way to do that when inviting an Internet stranger to spend the night with you.

  • Quietman : those are important considerations and I have the answer that I think prevents all of your examples:

Only overnight at your lions den . Your home . No hotels , if you have to , deposit your wallet , laptop, and phone ,at the front desk , to put in their safe . Leave messages with any people that may have to contact you , to call the hotel, you are in room ____. The front desk clerk will give you a wake up call .

    There may be something
On the shelf of the drugstore, that you can take , that will help you stay awake and watch the news . Or keep your laptop with you to trade those cyber currencies on the exchanges on The other side of the world.

As far as displayed valuables at your lions den . These are put in the closet . In case the guest cuddler does have to retreat to the master bedroom , and , has a scheme in place to let in two thugs, she is shit out of luck when the automatic closer on the bedroom door closes, and , locks her in .
Oh ? Kidnapped? No , She is free to let herself out the sliding door onto the deck , with only access to the house is back through the locked bedroom door , and the medicine cabinet is either locked, or only has “old spice deodorant”. I hear you can get a lot of money for old spice .
She left something in the living room . Well , she can k lock on the door , or call you .

I think a good security system may help prevent a home invasion .

There has got to be a better outlet for your imagination than these forums...

    Sorry for derailing, OP.

I agree with @quietman775. It’s probably not the safest thing for a first-time cuddle. ?

  • "I think I'd develop a case of buyer's remorse after paying for cuddle time that I could not enjoy (because I was asleep for several hours of it.)" That's exactly why I have my overnight fee structured the way it is.

I typically do not do overnights for a first session, but I have once. It would be difficult to be in this profession and allow yourself to be controlled by so many what ifs. I don't know. I go with my gut, and that's the most I can do sometimes :-/
