This topic has become more interesting to me now that I've noticed someone has blocked me for looking at their profile (just once, not multiple times). Of course, everyone is completely within their rights to do that, I'm just vaguely amused and inquisitive about the reasons behind it.

@snughugs, I know what you mean. Someone once visited me, then promptly blocked me. It was very curiosity-inducing: I saw a new name on my Visitors tab, clicked it—and discovered I'd been blocked. When I went back to the Visitors tab, the new name was gone. That was quick! I wonder what was so scary. It's sort of flattering... but man, I'm curious.

In general, I like it when people visit my profile over and over. It makes me feel like I've got an interesting profile.

  • If you regularly notice that your profile has been viewed by people who don’t leave a message, do you notice that a large proportion of those viewers come from California? I realize (thanks to our resident statistician) that California has the most CC members, but more than half of my views come from Californians. It doesn’t bother in the least, but it is a curious thing.

    That's a wonderful quote! :)

So glad to see these responses...I am forgetful and often revisit a profile I have already seen. I have no stalkerish/creepy intentions, and would hope that it shows interest. I suppose I should say hello if I haven't already, but then I did that when I joined and rarely got replies (except from pros...never had a pro ignore me).

On the flip side, I would love to have visitors! I feel invisible most of the time (not just here), so it would be cool if my profile interested anyone enough for a repeat visit.

But I do get it... unfortunately, I think most folks would agree that women generally have plenty of reasons to be a little paranoid about guys, so I hope to never make anyone feel that way.

  • If I am using my phone to get on here I don't see the persons pics by their name only the name shows up. So sometimes I really just don't recall someone by name and click on their profile and then its like oh, I know who they are was just looking at their posts earlier lol

  • I click on profiles to see where people live all the time... Or if it's someone who kind of consistently views my profile. There's nothing "creepy" about it. The way the site's designed, it's almost required! I've had a lot of success here and even still have cuddle buddies who're no longer on the site. If you're creeped out by someone, there's nothing stopping you from being the first to say "hi" either. I have a social anxiety and even online, I don't necessarily like to talk to people. It can be easy to get details confused (age, location, professional vs. nonprofessional, etc.) It just depends on the person, but I wouldn't even think to find it "creepy"!
