Show ban reason(s) on banned profiles

I think it would be interesting if banned profiles would display the reason that they have been banned for. I just thought of this because I sent someone a message and after they replied they had been banned for some reason. Would just be interesting to know I guess.

I must admit, aside from the rules that display underneath the text box when messaging people, I don't really know what the rules actually are.

  • Here's a good place to start. https://www.cuddlecomfort.com/forum/discussion/1834/the-rules-your-moderator/p1

Between that and the Client Agreement, I think that's pretty much it for rules.

  • I think that should remain confidential. It's no-one else's business.

  • Yeah this happened a few times sent a message then they were banned probably were fake accounts @Djorge

    With @UKGuy on this.

Go buy a National Enquirer. B)

  • I do get a little curious sometimes, especially when I have been conversing with someone and they seem legit. Makes me wonder if my BS radar is rusty sometimes.

  • [Deleted User]mrcuddleuk (deleted user)

Maybe they got banned for asking silly questions on a forum? Who knows?

  • I'll pull this from the discussion Why is she banned:

There are a number reasons someone will be banned. Some common ones are:
    1. Fake account= They are pretending to be someone or in a certain city, but really they are 1,000+ miles away or even another country. They could be talking with multiple people telling each they are coming to their city the same weekend regardless of where they are. We've had fake accounts trying to get as many members as possible to come to a specific place at the same time.. having all of them meet up while the person running the fake account wasn't likely to show up as they were 800 miles away from where they said they were.
    2. Scammers= They are not listed as Pros yet try to charge a rate to see them. The catch is they will require a deposit upfront first, usually half the the total session, and demand it be sent through something along an itunes gift card before ghosting the person.
    3. Dating= They come to the site thinking it is a dating or hookup site and attempt to use it as such.
    4. Non-platonic services= Attempting to use the site for as a hookup site or for other illegal services.
    5. Inappropriate photo(s)= There are some basic guidelines for uploaded photos, but some still upload things not suited for platonic cuddling.
    6. Underage= If a member is found to be under 18 they are banned from the site.
    7. Non-platonic messages= If a member states they are looking for something more than cuddling and/or fetish related

There are more, but I those are some of the more common ones. As for having the reason listed why someone was banned, I don't see that happening as it isn't something that should be broadcast to everyone. If you were talking with someone who was banned and you are curious to know why, send me a message and, depending on the circumstances, I can sometimes give a generic answer as to why, but won't be able to go into details.

@quietman775 did have the right idea though.. between the rules listed for the site and forums and the Client Service Agreement, it is some basic rules listed.

I think stats on why people have been banned would be rather interesting to know. I know we get curious but it doesn’t serve anything to know why someone specifically was banned.

I would hope people are reading the rules but many folks who I’ve seen banned after messaging me have broken the “keep things platonic” rule.

It might be interesting to know exactly how stupid the person you were trying to talk to is—but it really doesn't matter. Whether they're an actual scammer or just some idiot who assumes everything's about dating, I'm just glad they got kicked off the site (and I don't want them back). I don't need to know what they did to get themselves banned. The simple fact that they're gone for good reason is enough.

    Agree with @DarrenWalker.

There's probably a defamation risk with this too. Some bans are not done with high confidence but instead on balance of probability with the safety of the community in mind. Some bans will also just be mistakes - unavoidable human error when you're dealing with these numbers.

  • [Deleted User]DarrenWalker (deleted user)

Ah, I didn't know that some bans were made on the basis of "most likely not what we want" rather than "obviously not what we want." That's good to know—and it makes sense. Given that, I guess I wouldn't mind if the good ones came back. I still don't need to know what got them banned but, thanks to @Mark, I'll be less likely to assume someone who's been banned and come back under a different name is definitely up to no good.

I mean, they might be. But they might also have finally figured out what the site is actually for. And now that I know there's a chance they were banned mistakenly.... Well, it's good to know. Thanks, Mark.

I will judge swiftly and harshly on all banned members, assuming they've done the absolute worst. <3

@chococuddles: ...Dang it, nemesis. Quit making me look good, I'm only shooting for "non-villainous" here.

  • While I understand why its not shown, sometimes it is a matter of safety, and people who have been banned do come back. I'll message reurbo... :-/

  • So...

If someone who lives in another state requests text/phone sessions but won’t agree to planning the sessions on this site and then pressures me to talk / plan the session offline and says it is because he wants me to do “more stuff” and because he doesn’t want me to give my share of my cuddle fee to CuddleComfort, should I report him?

He actually deleted his profile, but I just realized he has a new one. He messaged me again from the new profile. This time, he was smarter. He agreed to the session time/date/rate online, BUT as soon as he texted me offline, he started the questions again, trying to pressure me for more than just texting and talking. I became suspicious and went back to check the messages from the old account. SAME PHONE NUMBER. This guy obviously wants phone sex and someone to send him inappropriate pics and videos.

    Should I report this?

  • @EndlessCuddlez

Report for sure. Taking contact off the site without confirming the appointment here first is grounds for a ban. Go to the pro only forum as well and expose this guy's username so other pros can be aware of him in case he shows up again.

  • I was banned twice due to giving out my phone number. Once before session confirmation to make scheduling easier, even though I indicated that the final appointment time needs to be confirmed on the site. 2nd time to someone super far away that said he didn’t want to book but wanted to talk on the phone about his recent divorce. Wanted my advice. I also told him that if we ever do book, it would need to be done through the site and he agreed.
I don’t like booking without talking or doing a video chat, but this site does not allow it. I’ve had tons of cancellations and no shows after confirming an appointment. But I’m nervous about giving out my number cause I don’t want to get banned for trying to be safe.

  • I did get reinstated both times but now after reading the harsh comments, I may end up with a bad reputation without cause.

  • @JaneBond I'm not a professional but when or if I do become one I will continue to give out my number for the exact reasons you've stated above.
None of your posts here in this thread or any of the others I've read of yours so far would be cause for a bad reputation. You have presented yourself as a true professional in everything I've read thus far. I wish the same could be said for one or two other professionals.

It is prohibitively hard to try and schedule a meeting, especially a first meeting online only. Driving and texting/private messaging don't mix.
The two men that have asked to see me while in Bismarck on business both have my number and the email address I use on here. But I have still confirmed details of the first visits on here just for safety sake since I know all private messages are able to be viewed by admin. I was the first enthusiast for one and only the second for the other, they use professionals due to the ease of scheduling for travel. They've both booked some of the professionals through here yet neither one seemed to have issue with asking to exchange phone numbers when in Bismarck.

I haven't read the CC pro contract since I haven't tried to sign up to be a pro but if it prohibits phone contact I can assure everyone reading this that I would rather be banned then forgo the extremely important detail of hearing a persons voice. Voices are excellent screening tools and I would be extremely disappointed if this site didn't allow it's use.

....now I'm going to have to go investigate. :/

It doesn't. You need to agree to a date and time first and then you can talk on the phone (e.g. needing some reassurance or for logistics). If when doing this something feels wrong then you can just change your mind.

The reason people get suspended or banned for phone contact is when they do it very early without having first made a plan. That type of activity makes it impossible for us to understand who is doing what and often (and often not) it's being done in an attempt to go under the radar.

  • Understandable explanation. I have gotten those requests also so makes perfect sense.

  • Someone that I had meet with and had a professional cuddle session with was later banned. He was perfectly polite and reasonable with me. We left each other positive karma and everything. I was perplexed for sure.
