I know, I know another "thoughts" thread... The Cuddlery in Vancouver is allowing you to experience your session on various substances, like Marijuana (legal in Canada), mushrooms and even MDMA (illegal). They call it the 'Otherworldly' option.
Just as a preliminary note, this thread is NOT here
to encourage rule-breaking, or to suggest that anyone offer this. Personally, I do not and would never attempt to cuddle someone while either of us is under any kind of influence, including even just a glass of wine at dinner before I hop on the train to my client's home. Just wanted to hear the thoughts of others on what this established and well-reviewed cuddle business is doing.
Obviously pros on CC can't offer this anyway, so that is also not up for discussion. But as an enthusiast or as a client, what would your reaction be to seeing this being offered? Would you take them seriously? Would you be open to trying it if the substances were legal where you live?

Being that recreational use of marijuana is now legal here in Canada, that part didn't come as a shock to me. I've gotten a few emails via my site asking if I'd allow someone to spark up a joint during a session. While I am a recreational user myself in my personal life, I will never introduce that to my business, since many will misconstrue or see it as unprofessional. There is also the huge issue of being able to consent, and at least the way I see it, you cannot fully consent once you are a certain distance away from being sober.
What did shock me was that they allow use of MDMA, which is generally not a safe drug to take in my parts. It has been tampered with globally at street level and as somebody who has almost died from an overdose on it with a small amount, I would never encourage using it at ANY time even with someone around who is trained to deal with ODs.
Given the fact that The Cuddlery is nationally revered in Canada, I don't question their authenticity, but knowing that they now allow this definitely gives ME a stranger picture. They must need some training for this as in first aid, and obviously the liability issues would be huge, given magic mushrooms and MDMA are still illegal to possess.
